Brain Flower Studios presented: The Heart Show Exhibition & Cookout, an evening dedicated to exploring the intersection of Black hair, art, and community. ✨

The Heart Show, which stood for “Hair Evoking Art,” celebrated Black people’s unique expression through their hair, not just as a form of art but as a reflection of their identity.

The Heart Show campaign spotlighted Mae, a talented DFW hair artist, and showcased her creative work.

The exhibition also featured works from other campaigns produced by Brain Flower Studios that celebrated Black hair.

We sincerely hope you enjoyed being a part of this world we created. If you had a great time at the exhibition, please let us know below.

We’re diligently working on new projects to bring you all, but remember, great things in a garden take time. 🌱

This is a testament of perseverance over perfection.

The Heart Show Exhibit and Cookout happened May 16th, 2026 at @suitespoteventsfw in Fort Worth, Texas.

A night all about celebrating Black hair, Black artists and Black creativity.

A huge thank you to every single person that believed in this campaign and experience.

There’s of course official content coming but from the bottom of my heart, I feel like I’m dreaming.

A pinch me moment. A God really? Moment.

I feel like I truly haven’t processed it.

To my mommy @auntiemoomoobartending , we did it Joe! We actually did it.

I’ll forever be beyond grateful to @suitespoteventsfw, please book with them for your next event!

Yeah. Wow, my first exhibit. Made @brainflowerstudios history yesterday night. taken in Suite Spot Events FW by @brainflowerstudios

The barber shop for many is a sanctuary, a place of refuge, you don’t come out the same way you went in.

A sacred space.

Thank you to @kjkutz1707 for allowing us to capture the beauty in your space!

These images will be featured in “The Shop Archive” celebrating local Black owned salons and barbershops in the DFW on view at The Heart Show Exhibit & Cookout next Saturday May 16th!
