This video doesn’t even really do it justice, but Saturday I had the immense pleasure of being able to attend The Heart Show, brought to life by @loveyaasameenxo / @brainflowerstudios

At its core, fundamentally, it was the embodiment of the black experience. A social and cultural collective gathering. A celebration of art and experience. A cookout and party. Homage, veneration, and innovation.

It truly was a treat and as an artist and creative myself, man was it so refreshing, reinvigorating, and inspiring.

This is a testament of perseverance over perfection.

The Heart Show Exhibit and Cookout happened May 16th, 2026 at @suitespoteventsfw in Fort Worth, Texas.

A night all about celebrating Black hair, Black artists and Black creativity.

A huge thank you to every single person that believed in this campaign and experience.

There’s of course official content coming but from the bottom of my heart, I feel like I’m dreaming.

A pinch me moment. A God really? Moment.

I feel like I truly haven’t processed it.

To my mommy @auntiemoomoobartending , we did it Joe! We actually did it.

The Heart Show was such a beautiful expression of Black hair, artistry, and creativity 🖤✨

Every detail of this event felt like a love letter to our crown — the art, the culture, the nostalgia, and the creativity that comes with Black hair.

And yes… I really had leopard spots (I think) in my head yesterday 😭🔥

Such a full circle moment. People ask me often if I’m still doing hair and although I’m still licensed, the stylin and profilin have slowed down as the events ramped up. Being a part of @brainflowerstudios #TheHeartShow has allowed me to be creative in a way I hadn’t since cosmetology school. Thanks @loveyaasameenxo for letting me be a part of the celebration of this project. BEYOND proud of you! 🫶🏾
