Happy 50th Birthday to my Best Friend!
Today, we celebrate not just your 50th year but also the phenomenal person you are to everyone around you! They say one friend can profoundly change your life, and you are that friend who has had such a positive impact on mine. From our countless late-night euchre games to our spontaneous trundles, you’ve been the one who always listens, never judges, and gives the bestest advice.
Your warmth, kindness, and unconditional support have helped shape me & I can’t thank you enough for being by my side through all the highs & the lows. Whether laughing until we cry or beating the boys at Mini golf, every moment spent with you is a cherished memory.
As we enter this exciting new chapter of our 50s, let’s seize all the adventure life offers. Here’s to many more years of friendship, laughter, & unforgettable moments together.

This fall, we celebrated the beautiful union of my niece, Logan, and her best friend, Lucas. Lo, you light up the world with your incredible positive energy, and we are all so grateful for the joy you bring into our lives. You have an amazing ability to take the good in life and make it even better, and you’ve transformed the tough times into lessons of strength and resilience.

As I reflect on your journey, I am in awe of the grace and inner strength with which you navigate life. It hasn’t always been easy, but you have faced every challenge head-on, inspiring those around you. I am so thankful that you, Jaybird, Bugs, Nate, and Joey have each other, and I admire how you lead them with such love and set a beautiful example for all.

We are also incredibly grateful that you have found such a hardworking and inspiring young man in Lucas, who perfectly balances you. Together, you both bring out the best in each other, and it is a joy to witness your love. And I must say, Lolo, you made the most beautiful bride—your radiance is truly breathtaking.

As you embark on this new chapter with Lucas, I know that your brother is smiling down from heaven, wishing he could be here to celebrate this special day with you. My gram spent 25 cherished years in the Bahamas, where she found her paradise in the sand and surf. After my grandpa passed, they sold their beloved beach home in Sandy Point, Abaco—a piece of her heart left behind. Every day, she would immerse herself in the simple joy of “shelling,” discovering the beauty in each unique shell.
I am truly grateful that we could return her to the ocean, allowing her to reconnect with something she loves so deeply. This trip became a treasure of unforgettable memories, filled with laughter, chaos and love. A heartfelt thank you to @joeyschmitt44 for helping Great Gram (who is 92 years young) make the trek. I’ll always cherish the moment when I almost discarded a broken shell, and my gram gently reminded me that, “Even the broken ones are beautiful”. I kept it, as a forever reminder.
