COVER REVEAL A young woman is abducted and brutally attacked on a rain-soaked night at Buscan City University. Her attackers believe they have gotten away with it. When members of the notorious Black Cats fraternity begin turning up dead, each victim bearing the same gruesome signature, fear grips the university. Rival cults prepare for war, and Assistant Superintendent Kalu Manulife is brought in to find the killer before the violence spirals out of control. But one student may hold the key. Simon Tyough never wanted to join a cult. Now he is plagued by disturbing blackouts, fractured memories and a growing fear that he may know more about the killings than he remembers. As Kalu closes in on the truth, Simon is forced to confront the darkness inside him and the secrets surrounding the night that changed everything. Devil’s Pawn is a gripping crime thriller with a supernatural edge, where vengeance, guilt and violence collide in the darkest corners of a university campus. DEVIL’S PAWN is coming to bookstores on June 7 2027. by @brainypoet

The wait is over. Welcome to THE CURRENT ISSUE of CỌ́N-SCÌÒ Magazine (Volume 6, Issue 1, June 2026) 🧾 This edition centres on a single, powerful concept: the forces, flows, and cultural shifts that define our immediate present. From the fracturing of geographical borders to the quiet battles for identity and heritage, our contributors map the terrain of modern life with breathtaking honesty. Featured in this issue: 🎙️ Spotlight: Performance poet & novelist Àrẹ̀mọ̀ Gemini (@aremogemini) in conversation with guest editor Sarah Adeyemo on cultural custodianship. 🏆 The celebrated winning entries of the Brigitte Poirson Literature Prize 2025 (Poetry & Short Fiction). 📸 A stunning visual landscape bridging the Niger-Benue confluence, tranquil British coastlines, and the restless energy of London. 🎭 Evocative new poetry, critical essays, and sharp book reviews. On behalf of the editorial team (@brainypoet x @instajhide x @sueddieagema & Sarah Adeyemo), thank you to our incredible creators for these gems. 🔗 How to read: Click the link in our bio to download the full June 2026 issue or read the web versions of your favourite pieces today! #ConScioMagazine #LiteraryArts #AfricanWriters #NewIssue #CreativeWriting #PoetryCommunity #VisualArts #Photography #AremoGemini #BPLP by @brainypoet
