Going to LA for work on art installation and as my uber driver gets off off-ramp, we turn onto Sunset blvd exactly where in 2012 I was dancing in parade. What are the odds?! At 2:08AM on 7.26.98, I was blessed to have birthed ONE of my 3 most prized possessions in this world. (Happy birth day to me! lol)👶🏾

Not that I "owned" her but I was "possessed" by the reality that she depended on me for life, sustenance, prayers, care, nurture, protection, love, wisdom, strength, grace and so, so much more. 🤗

I was "possessed" by my desire to be the best I could be at motherhood, because the best was given to me:

The best that HEAVEN had to offer me was Christ, and I received Him.✝️

The best that this EARTH had to offer me was MY mother, and I adore her. 🌍

The best I could offer MY daughter was ME. And even at my very best I felt it wasn't enough; that was humbling.😔

I quickly realized this was much bigger than me; THIS was a "GOD JOB" and I could Not do it without Him. 💪🏿

Ever since that realization I have been in deep, humble, submissive prayer over this little one. Its been 27 years now, and He has done an amazing work in both of us, and He's not done yet!!😁

Our relationship has matured as she has matured 😍! And yet, She will ALWAYS, and in ALL WAYS be the 1st...of my 3...most prized possessions. 🎂🍸🎊Happy 27th Birthday Babygirl!!!
