⁣I have enjoyed every minute of this ride. I wouldn’t trade any of this for anything in the world, not even the hard and exhausting times. The late nights, the early mornings. The long weekends in the summer, the times where you’d have a game at 10am but then the next one wouldn’t be until 4pm. The traveling that was 95% business, but we’d still carve out that 5% for ourselves to have some fun. The highs, the lows. The smiles, the tears. The hard work and dedication, and even the frustrations. All worth it. Jaidyn if nothing else, I hope this journey has taught you and prepared you for the future. Sometimes things will get hard. Sometimes you’ll work so hard, fall short, & you’ll feel like you want to quit. But staying in the fight, finishing what you started is what builds character and what will shape you into being an exceptional man. You have no idea how many people compliment you on how genuine, kind and deserving of a person you are. A lot of times they compliment me through you. They say, the person you are is a reflection of me. But it’s tough to take the credit, because see who you are when no one’s watching is more of a reflection of YOU, than me. Please continue to be who you are Jay. Please continue to be a leader, a good person and please continue to keep going even when things get tough. Once you reach the finish line, once you’re able to reap the benefits of all of your hard work, you’ll be able to look back and realize how strong & unstoppable you are. I love you Jaidyn! Thank you guys so much for all the birthday love! I appreciate all of you, thank you!! ❤️I can’t believe I’m 40. Seems like I was just turning 30 yesterday. What’s even more unbelievable is Jaidyn will be starting his senior year in high school and he’ll be 18 in October. Seems like I was just holding his hand to cross the street, and now he’s driving. 🤯Big, bittersweet year ahead, but I’m excited to see where my son’s talents will take him. I’m also a little nervous about this next chapter. So many lasts, and so many new beginnings are ahead. I don’t know what I’m gonna do with myself lol but I’m looking forward to watching my son’s life blossom. I trust that God has a great future in store for him and I’ll be right there watching and cheering him on every step of the way. Random thought: see how MY bday post ended up being about Jay? 🤣❤️ What am I gonna do once I have to let him leave the nest!!?? 😩🤣Oh & ummmm I guess #slide5 means “Sissy-hana Sundays” on the way?? 👩🏾‍🍳🤣❤️ by @break_of_dawn
