Hello my lovelies,

For some insane reason I have convinced myself that running 26.2 miles around York would be a good idea. It’s way too early for a midlife crisis, surely?

For the next few months, my life will consist of long runs, a heavenly amount of carbs and telling anyone that will listen that I’m a serious runner now, don’t you know!

I am running for the incredible ‘Break The Mould’. Based on the Wirral, Break The Mould support young people, families and individuals in need through their Social Supermarket, affordable food provision, youth engagement and holiday programmes to tackle food poverty, food waste, youth disengagement and to teach young people valuable skills and provide them chance to socialise, learn and play in a safe environment.

Every donation will be going to this wonderful cause - which also means I can’t fake an injury at mile 15 like I planned!

Thank you so much for backing me and giving Break The Mould the support, and if you see me after 26.2 miles please point me to the nearest pub! Now please excuse me while I question every life choice I have ever made.

We need your support… and not just because Kris is making daft videos 😂

A great friend of Break The Mould is taking on an unbelievable challenge — the Ultra X Sahara Marathon… that’s 220km across the Sahara Desert 🏃‍♂️🔥 @ultraxco

To show our support, @breakthemouldgb and friends are going to take on the miles at home. You can do it in your own time, or come and join us every evening at 5pm during the challenge week.

Join our Strava group and log your kilometres as part of our community effort while Jake takes on the Sahara. Every mile you run, walk, or jog helps us show our support. Tag @breakthemouldgb in your posts and stories so we can share the journey and cheer everyone on. Whether you’re running solo, with friends, family, or even the dog, let’s see those miles add up together.

✨ The Limitless Ball 2025 ✨
 Our very first major event at the beautiful Manor Barn in Gresby was everything we dreamed of… and so much more.

For weeks we lived on endless meetings, prize runs, planning sessions, late-night ideas, and building games from scratch — all because we wanted to create a night that truly meant something.

And honestly? There was a moment we weren’t sure we’d even fill the room.

But then you all walked through those doors… and you filled it with life. With love. With support. ❤️

This night wasn’t just about celebrating our charity or our incredible volunteers — it was also a gentle, heartfelt nod to those no longer with us. Their strength, their impact, their memory… it’s woven into everything Break The Mould stands for. ✨

Because at our core, Break The Mould is about resilience, courage, and pushing past every boundary in front of us — and that room radiated all of it. You could feel it.

The energy was unreal. Guests laughed, played, and cheered through a night packed with entertainment — from interactive games to exciting raffles, a thrilling combination box prize, and of course, great food that brought everyone together and made the evening even more special. ✨

And thanks to your unbelievable generosity and support… we raised an amazing £2.4k! 💛
 That’s not just a number — it’s impact. It’s hope. It’s change.

We are excited to share that Break The Mould is hosting our first-ever fundraising ball, The Limitless Ball.

It’s going to be a night of celebration, dancing, live entertainment, prizes, and purpose, all in aid of raising vital funds for Break The Mould’s work with young people and families.

We’ll also be taking a moment on the night to remember our friend Stuart Barnes, whose legacy continues to inspire what we do.

🎟️ Tickets include a two-course dinner, a welcome drink on arrival, plus three more complimentary drinks. You can book single tickets, half-tables (4 seats), or full tables (9 seats).

☀️ What an AMAZING way to wrap up our final week of Summer HAF! 🎉

We went out with a bang 💥 – a 60ft obstacle course, inflatable basketball hoops, penalty shootouts, a disco bouncy castle, plus the brilliant @zorbeventsltd bringing the laughter with bubble football ⚽🤩.

And it didn’t stop there… hot dogs 🌭, an ice cream stand 🍦, loads of games, music, and – best of all – the sunshine 🌞 made it the perfect day to celebrate an unforgettable summer together.

A HUGE thank you goes out to all the incredible staff and volunteers who gave their time, energy and smiles to make this summer so special ❤️ Without you, none of this would be possible – you truly help us Break The Mould every single day 🙌

And of course, a massive thank you to @wallaseycc 🏏 for welcoming us and giving us the perfect space to bring the community together – your support means the world 💛
