Almost 3 years ago, it started with a little delusion and a whole LOT of faith.

And almost 3 years later? I’m STILL delusional. STILL believing. STILL showing up. STILL becoming her.🥹🔥

“You can’t eat wings.”
“You’ll eventually plateau.”
“Just wait until you have kids. You’ll gain it all back.”

OH OKAYYYYY. 😭😂 “THANK YA BABY!” Because somehow, others opinions became fuel for a faith that was already there.

This one-month lock-in is just another reminder that transformation doesn’t happen overnight, but it DOES happen when you keep showing up for yourself. Even when you fall off. Even when life gets busy. Even when the progress isn’t linear.

I’m not chasing perfection. I’m building proof that I can trust myself to keep going. And the best part? I’m not done yet, because it’s a lifestyle for me now.

Here’s to being a little delusional about what’s possible, faithful enough to believe it, and disciplined enough to work for it.

When people say they hate upper body day, I usually stay quiet. 😂

I absolutely love a quiet morning with just me working out and the smell of coffee waiting for me to be done.

SN: I didn’t get here overnight. Something training taught me, the weights may look light, but when you’re intentional with your form, controlling the movement, and pushing through those reps, you’re still building.

✨My Next Chapter!✨ I’m incredibly grateful and excited to share that I have joined the University of Houston’s Communication Sciences and Disorders program as an Adjunct Faculty Clinical Educator. 🐾❤️

And honestly? This one feels different.
Not simply because of the position, but because of what it represents and the journey that unknowingly prepared me for it.

I’ve always dreamed of working in higher education. And now, I have the opportunity to educate, supervise, encourage, and pour into graduate-level students—our future Speech-Language Pathologists! 🗣️

That’s right up my alley, right? 😂
But truly, this is what the unmerited favor of the Lord looks like. 🙏🏽

During my own graduate clinical experiences, I had supervisors who did so much more than teach me how to be a clinician. They challenged me. They encouraged me. They believed in me. They helped me find confidence in my clinical thinking.

As I always say: “You can be book smart, but you can’t fake clinical competence. Clinical work is the real deal!” 😂

Years later, I get the opportunity to sit on the other side of that experience. And that is a FULL-CIRCLE moment. 🤍

To the SLPs and clinicians who dream of teaching, mentoring, supervising, or stepping into higher education one day:
Keep going because your current season may be developing skills you don’t yet realize you’ll need for your next one. 👏🏽

The experience you’re gaining. The clients you’re helping. The clinicians you’re becoming. The people pouring into you…None of it is wasted.

And to the future SLPs I’ll have the privilege of working with:
I cannot wait to learn from you, challenge you, cheer you on, and be a small part of your journey.

I’m stepping into this chapter with a grateful heart and a deep desire to pour back into the profession that has poured so much into me.

Feeling blessed. Feeling grateful. Feeling favored.

Here’s to new chapters, full-circle moments, and becoming the person I once prayed of becoming. ✨❤️🤍🐾🗣️🦻🏽

The first 5 minutes might be a struggle, but once I find my groove, I can push so much harder.

Six years ago, Year of 2020, I packed up my life in a small town and took a chance on Houston, TX.

I wasn’t chasing a title. I was chasing possibility.

I refused to let someone else’s expectations define my ceiling and what was or wasn’t possible.

But sometimes the ceiling people talk about is only the ceiling they’ve accepted.

Year 6 in Houston looks nothing like Year 1, and I’m grateful I kept betting on myself when others couldn’t see the vision.

I am evident of growth through consistent effort.

Spiritually, I’m faithfully stewarding what God has given me. I am called to serve others through my gift.

Here’s to proving that where you start doesn’t determine where you’ll finish.

The motion was never luck.
It was consistency.
It was faith.
It was saying yes to opportunities that scared me.
It was showing up over and over again.

Fredericksburg, you did it again. 🤍🍷

A weekend full of laughter, good wine, late-night conversations, and celebrating one of our favorite people. There was something so refreshing about slowing down, unplugging, and spending quality time with the same friends I’ve known since high school.

This was my second trip to Fredericksburg, and somehow it was even better than the first. Grateful for friendships that keep growing, memories that keep getting sweeter, and weekends that leave your cup a little fuller.

Already looking forward to the next girls’ trip. 🥂✨

I soaked in a short weekend trip to my hometown, St. Francisville, LA in West Feliciana Parish, and I still cannot get over the BEAUTY! I didn’t realize how beautiful my small town was.

I began working at the age of 16 at a boutique store, until graduate school—6 years working there. We would be so busy with people visiting from all over the US (literally). I would wonder how did they find us on the map.

Now, I see. I didn’t get to enjoy the beautiful weather or strolling on the streets to all of the historical building, shops, and more while working on weekends. Since I’ve moved away, and returning to visit The Ville, it has curated into a place I’ve never imagined with old buildings becoming restaurants, venues, and modern clothing boutiques. I was truly taken back, and ready to go back!

Of course I spent quality time with my mom, and she enjoyed every minute of it, while giving history to tourists she met. I can’t wait to visit more hidden gems another day. ✨
