A new species of cat has been discovered for the first time in over 100 years, and I actually met him back in 2020! 🐯🇧🇴☺️

Breanna, @wellbeingscharity and I visited Senda Verde in Bolivia 6 years ago and instantly fell in love. Spider monkeys, anteaters, tigers - @senda_verde was home to over 800 animals, most of them victims of deforestation and habitat loss.

We’ve supported them ever since, including funding them through COVID when they were on the brink of shutting down.

Now, they’ve helped discover that one of their little cats “Tigrino” is an entirely new species: Leopardus tilcayo!! 🐯

This is the PERFECT example of what supporting locally-led conservation work can do. And, I’m so proud to stand behind Senda Verde and their vital work in the Bolivian Amazon!

Happy Earth Day 🌍🌱

Last week on our partner trip, we planted mangroves, celebrated the return of an island to a national parks trust, and spent time with some of the most inspiring conservationists across the Caribbean, people doing real, impactful work to protect ecosystems that are both vital and vulnerable.

Building @wellbeingscharity has been some of the most meaningful work of my life. We are all stewards of this planet, and it’s on all of us to protect it and every creature that calls it home, big and small.

This Earth Day, we celebrate the belief that everything is interconnected.

Along the shores of the British Virgin Islands, Amanda Hearst Rønning and Breanna Schultz, co-founders of WELL/BEINGS, are on the ground doing what Earth Day is truly about: protecting the places we love and the life they sustain.

Working at the intersection of animals, people, and the planet, WELL/BEINGS mission brings real, lasting impact to communities and ecosystems across Palm Beach, the Caribbean and beyond.

WELL/BEINGS was founded on the belief that environmental protection and animal welfare are inseparable — each action creating a ripple effect across our shared ecosystem. Through hands-on conservation, education, and transparent, solution-driven philanthropy, WELL/BEINGS is proud to shine its light on under-recognized environmental issues and helps scale the most promising solutions for future generations.

At Lilly Pulitzer, inspiration has always come from the natural world. This May, we’re proud to honor that legacy with the launch of @lillypulitzer Print with Purpose collection in support of WELL/BEINGS Charity — uniting joyful color with meaningful action. Designed with intention and rooted in purpose, the collection supports the vital conservation work happening in places like the British Virgin Islands and coastal communities around the world and those in our own backyard (Palm Beach!)

In just 24 hours the US will celebrate Earth Day — and for many, globally, in just under twelve.

Every day WELL/BEINGS with our partners across Florida, the Caribbean — DR, PR, BVI and Bolivia Amazon are working hard to raise funds and protect our planet.

“There is no plan B” couldn’t be more true. We have one planet to protect, conserve, celebrate and leave for generations to come.

WELL/BEINGS celebrated its 4th annual fundraiser event in Palm Beach this weekend. A celebration of our work locally for mangroves, manatees and ocean health — for animals, people, planet.
Mangroves are the superheroes of climate change — and celebrated as such this evening!

Guests also celebrated the importance of our oceans health at the spectacular @thebraziliancourt for cocktails and canapés led by the chef @danielboulud team.

With a $130,000 fundraising goal to further continue our work this year to help plant, restore and conserve mangroves, seagrass and protect manatees.

But we have had an incredible jump start by our guests and donors who attended this evening, our Palm Beach Host Committee with whom we could not make this event happen without you, and with our incredible sponsors @hearst @megababe @pioneerlinens @monogrammary — media sponsor @palmerpalmbeach and a very special donation by @lillypulitzer as their 2026 Prints with Purpose grant recipient! 🌱

Our co-founders @amandahearst and @brehschultz reminded everyone how we are all interconnected and mangroves truly are the superheroes in the fight against climate change — sequestering up to 10x more carbon than any terrestrial forest and 3-5x more than the rainforest.
But they are under threat from human interference like coastal construction, haphazard boating and climate change.

Manatee Appreciation Day. What could be a better day for our planet and ocean health than the celebration of these amazing sea cows. No predators, no enemies, no prey — just happy, roly-poly sea mammals who need to eat as much seagrass as their own weight daily, hang out in mangroves and swim and bob with their fellow marine friends (and human ones too!)

Manatees are threatened by human interference — whether this is coastal over building and the destruction of mangroves, severe weather climate, poor ocean conditions stifling seagrass growth, or mere boating accidents… manatees need our care, protection and often — rehabilitation.

Thank you to all our partners across Florida and the Caribbean for your protection of manatees. And to @cmaquarium and @therealmanateeman for your devotion to these beautiful wonders and creators of what you see shared today.

As 2025 comes to a close, we just want to extend a huge thank you to everyone who’s helped make this year a success for WELL/BEINGS. Whether you are boots-on-the-ground every day, have donated, volunteered, or shared our mission with friends, you’re the reason we’re able to do what we do. 🙌

This year, we’ve seen the incredible strength of the communities we serve — the resilient people of the Caribbean and Bolivia Amazon, and Florida who are fighting every day to protect the planet — the land, sea and animals, we love. Through this, we witness the quiet courage of the locals — the animals, who share these spaces, often struggling for survival in a world that’s changing too fast.
But none of this work would be possible without YOU. Your support allows us to walk beside these communities, helping to give them the tools they need to thrive, heal and preserve the precious ecosystems we all depend on.
