Today’s Player Spotlight shines on Hayes Schultz #19! 🔦🏒

Hayes comes to the 2017 Westchester Express Elite from the NYC Cyclones and is bringing plenty of energy to the ice. Off the rink, he’s a big NY Rangers fan and also loves playing baseball. ⚾️

We’re excited to have Hayes in red and white this season — keep an eye out for #19! ❤️🤍

A new species of cat has been discovered for the first time in over 100 years, and I actually met him back in 2020! 🐯🇧🇴☺️

Breanna, @wellbeingscharity and I visited Senda Verde in Bolivia 6 years ago and instantly fell in love. Spider monkeys, anteaters, tigers - @senda_verde was home to over 800 animals, most of them victims of deforestation and habitat loss.

We’ve supported them ever since, including funding them through COVID when they were on the brink of shutting down.

Now, they’ve helped discover that one of their little cats “Tigrino” is an entirely new species: Leopardus tilcayo!! 🐯

This is the PERFECT example of what supporting locally-led conservation work can do. And, I’m so proud to stand behind Senda Verde and their vital work in the Bolivian Amazon!

Happy World Mangrove Day! 🌱😃🌱

We at @wellbeingscharity have spent 4 years working to protect + restore mangroves in Florida, the Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, and the BVI.
🇺🇸🇩🇴🇵🇷🇻🇬

Sadly, the world has lost almost 50% of its mangrove forests in the last 50 years - and we need these beautiful trees to protect coastal communities and countless endangered marine species.

The time is NOW so please support our work and donate today! 100% of today’s donations will go to our #mangroveconservation work 🥰

Mangroves store more carbon than any other terrestrial forest and yet, we’re destroying them 3 times faster than any rainforests on Earth.

Almost nobody is funding their protection.

@wellbeingscharity is collaborating with some of the most capable and dedicated scientists in the field to approach mangrove deforestation. They need our help to spread awareness and Invite people to fundraise their efforts.

This issue is extremely underrated across the climate crisis scenario and its collateral impact in other codependent ecosystems is growing. There is hope…but never enough resources.

The future of animals, people and planet is in our hands. Always.

Will you join the campaign?

@segeraretreat I am still speechless! This place is unlike anything I have ever experienced 🤭

The highlights:
🦏 Finally seeing the black rhino and boy was he beautiful

🥗 Farm to table food grown right on the property, every single bite made with care by chefs Denise and Violet, I will be dreaming of their dishes

🐕 The anti-poaching dogs Hally, Daisy, and Gypsy, the unsung heroes (along with the team) protecting this land/animals every day

🌱 The sustainability practices that make this place extraordinary: fully solar powered, harvested rainwater, animal conservation, East Africa’s first female rangers academy

🐘 The watering hole which included elephants, zebras, rhino, monkey’s, warthogs, birds, and giraffes saying hi daily

🚁 A helicopter day trip over northern Kenya that took my breath away (more on that soon!)

Thank you for making us feel so at home in the most extraordinary corner of this planet 🌍🌿
