Being a cosmetologist has always been a dream of mine. I’ve always been the person who’s known to whip up a quick hairdo, do everyone’s makeup, and cut people’s hair whenever and wherever. Follow along for my journey as I hope to become your future hairstylist 💕

Although these have been in my camera roll since June, I haven’t found the courage to post these until now.

To some, they may just be four jackets. To me, they hold years of memories of every contest, every victory and disappointment, every laugh and every tear, every teammate who stood beside me, and every moment that shaped who I am.

These jackets carry a story I could never put into words and a journey I will carry with me forever. Forever thankful for the blue and gold. by @brennanlbaker

Texas FFA,

I have had 404 days to think about what I want to say as my last goodbye since I was elected, but somehow, there still aren’t enough words to explain what this year has meant to me.

On May 15, 2025, one of the biggest dreams of my life came true. I became a Texas FFA State Officer. Somewhere along the way, Texas FFA became more than an organization I served. It became home.

Home isn’t a place to me. It’s the people from my home chapter who pushed me to follow my dreams. It’s the people you can laugh with at ALC’s until your stomach hurts, cry with during Vespers when things get hard, and sit beside without saying a word to listen when all you need is a shoulder to lean on.

That is what Texas FFA has been for me.

For the past year, I got to wear the blue jacket, walk into rooms filled with people I loved, hear stories that changed me, and make memories I already know I’ll spend the rest of my life missing.

If you heard my retiring address, you know I believe our missing pieces, or hardships in life, don’t define us. But rather, they can create the most beautiful story to our puzzle. Some pieces change us forever, and some become so special that we can’t imagine our puzzle without them. Texas FFA has been one of those pieces for me. You gave me people, memories, lessons, and a place where I truly belonged. You gave me a home. So if your puzzle feels broken, don’t force pieces together just to fill the empty spaces. Find the people and things that fulfill you and make your life feel like yours.

Texas FFA, thank you for being my home.

Before I make my State Convention post, I need to recognize the team that has been my rock this year. Throughout this year no matter what was going on I could always know Laine would be there to guide us like Sacajawea, Kinley would be there to shine her yellow on us, Cody would be there to play Noah Kahan, Jud would remind us to stay “anchored”, Tucker would yell John Pork, Ciara would be down for any late night run, Brady would sing the Muffin Man song when we begged hard enough, Riley would hit us back in line with the gavel, Pops would never fail to be bougie, Maddie would calm us down after a long day by playing her guitar, and Lyli would always be the best advice giver even in her darkest days. This team healed me in so many ways and although our year of service together is over, our love for each other never will be.

Texas FFA this past week you saw our team on the stage but what you didn’t see were all of the late nights playing Mafia when we should’ve been sleeping, the car rides when we would drive the long way to sing one more song together, and the smiles and hugs we gave each other after being reunited even if we only were apart for 1 week.

Thank you Laine, Kinley, Cody, Jud, Tucker, Ciara, Brady, Riley, Pops, Maddie, and Lyli for being my missing puzzle pieces and healing pieces of me that y’all never broke. I love yall endlessly.

Thank you Area V for the absolute best last ALC. From the fun workshops, to committee meetings, to line dancing, to screaming John Pork, to spending the late nights with a great Area Officer team, I couldn’t have asked for a better way to finish my events in Area V. Area 4, I can’t even begin to thank you enough for allowing me to be a part of your ALC. It was full of belly laughs, lake water, great hugs, amazing line dancing, and even getting arrested for supposedly “stealing” Ratyónce. Thank y’all for welcoming me with open arms, making me feel like family, and reminding me why this organization is so special. I’m so grateful for every conversation, every memory, and every one of you. I can’t wait to see all the incredible things y’all accomplish this year! by @brennanlbaker
