“The Night Alone” premieres in October.

Our new short film, “The Night Alone”, will make its theater debut at the @nychalloweenfilmfest opening night event on Friday October 16th at @anthologyfilmarchives. I’m so incredibly excited to see the film we all worked so hard on be screened on the big screen for the first time. This is our love letter to horror and to this city we call home, so I am very grateful to be a part of a genre film centric festival and a local New York one as well. Thank you to the wonderful folks at NYC Halloween Film Festival for selected “The Night Alone” as part of this year’s line-up, thank you to my outstanding cast and crew who put their all into this, and finally, of course, thank you to all of you for supporting our artistic endeavors over the years. So honored to have “The Night Alone” be shown at a horror festival in the spookiest month of the year. Come support our film and the festival on Friday October 16th. I hope to see you there!

Get tickets here: www.nychalloweenfilmfest.com/tickets.

Loving these photos. Feeling chaotic! Life has been good. But the world is insane! Complicated chaos.

Gotta keep moving, documenting the good, living living living, calling the dear ones, taking in every second of sun and Obi.

20 cast members, 14 overnight shoots, 7 highly trained doggos, 2 horses, and 1 happy little imp filming her first SAG feature.

I am fulfilled, inspired, honored, and grateful 🤍

I haven’t even finished editing my photos from Taiwan, so much to share from this trip. This one was from an early morning walk @bretomey and I took while everyone was sleeping. Freezing, uphill, worth it.

HUNGRY WOMEN a new play by @mmaney.theatre directed by yours truly and starring these four hams! Thrilled to say we won the first round of the Lighthouse Series @sohoplayhousenyc

I can’t even tell you how hard the play hooks left out of the Victorian era. We are so close to getting an off Broadway run and for the sake of surprise I hope we do! Thanks to the amazing productions of T by @sienarafter and Regicide by @heyjudecramer and @gav.peters we were in repertoire with, yall made some beautiful work and I loved to have all our pieces under one roof for a few evenings. Thanks to all who came out and voted for us.

Second round is in July folks! We will be coming at you with a different 40 minute excerpt of the play and I hope from there the full length!!! Woohoo theatre !

Thank you @s.a.m.w.y.z.e for beautiful production photos and BTS. Hire his talented eye!!! by @bretomey

*ATTENTION TEAM OBI*

You know him, you love him and adore him with all of your heart. He’s made you giggle, he’s licked up your nose, he’s fallen asleep in your arms. He’s just about the cutest little turkey in the land…It’s our dear Obi Prose-Tomey, and he needs our help.

On Sunday night, Oliver noticed that Obi was having moments of physical hesitation - hunched back, and quietness (which..if you know Obi, you know he’s not one to hide in a corner..). He took him to a vet right away and was given an anti-inflammatory to get through the night. By the next morning, Obi had lost full control of his hind legs.

After an MRI, we learned that Obi was in a severe stage of IVDD, and had two herniated discs. A large amount of herniated tissue extending to both sides of his spine, and in order for Obi to regain mobility in his hind legs, he would need to go into surgery immediately.

Obi then underwent an 8 hour surgery where Dr. Rivera (who we now know is one of the most precise neurological vets in the city) removed the herniated tissue and reenforced stability between his discs.

This is a long and careful road to a full recovery. Obi must be on contained rest in a 4x4 space for a successful 4 weeks (meaning if he has a flare up, we have to start the 4 weeks over). Once we get through that successfully, we move into months of physical therapy, electric acupuncture, water aerobics and laser treatments.

With the right care and consistent rehab over the next 8 months, Obi has a very high chance of making a full recovery! But we sincerely need the help of our community to give him the best care.

We are so grateful to everyone who has sent us love, energy, and support this week. To anyone who chooses to offer their time, energy, and financial efforts through the GoFundMe, thank you, from the bottom of our hearts, for doing this for him, and for being a lifetime member of Team Obi.
