POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
Last week I had the honor of being featured on Fox 5: Good Day DC, to talk about my new book Uncomfortable Either Way, my work as a high-performance speaker, and the important role that confidence plays in our ability to reach the next level.

This book has been years in the making and I’m incredibly grateful for every opportunity to share this message, and help people embrace the necessary discomfort required to grow.

If you haven’t yet, now’s the time to order and grab your copy.

And if your company, team, or event is looking for a keynote speaker to help your people improve their daily performance, build real confidence, and take action—even when it’s uncomfortable—I’d love to connect.

Massive thank you to @stephengraddick for a great interview and Executive Producer @jeffginc for having me on and making the experience unforgettable. The energy was electric, the questions were spot-on, and getting to share this message with the DC community was a dream.

This is just the beginning. šŸš€

Most of us think the key is learning more. But as Brett Eaton puts it, the real growth comes from unlearning what we picked up from people who don’t live the life we want.

In this conversation, Brett and Aaron break down why comfort today often leads to hardship tomorrow, and why deliberately choosing discomfort is the only way to avoid regret later.

They talk about:

Why repeating mistakes keeps founders stuck.
How to turn present adversity into future advantage.
The discipline of seeking challenge instead of running from it.

If you’re building, leading, or just searching for a better way forward, this one is for you.

Episode out now wherever you get your podcasts.

Today’s the day!! My book is officially out!šŸŽ‰šŸŽ‰

In a world obsessed with curated success stories, comfort, and telling ourselves convenient lies, I felt called to write the book that called out the uncomfortable truths.

ā€œUncomfortable Either Wayā€ isn’t just a book—it’s my life’s message.

It’s the perfect mix of tough love and enthusiastic encouragement.

It’s filled with everything I wish someone had taught me 10 years ago.

It’s about the choices we all face:

Default to comfortable now and suffer the consequences later…or choose to face discomfort today and actually build the life you want.

The book is the real lessons I’ve lived through, as well as the pain, setbacks, doubt, and growth.

It’s raw. It’s real. And it’s the framework I know will change lives—because it already has.

This is for anyone who is:

• Stuck overthinking or doubting themselves

• Wondering if they’re capable of more

• Ready to stop letting fear and self-doubt call the shots, and start living aligned to what you actually want

I’ve been there too, and it’s why I wrote this book for YOU.

So here’s my ask:

If my message has ever inspired you, pushed you, or made you think differently… I’d be honored if you grabbed a copy today.

Comment ā€œBOOKā€ and I’ll DM you the link!

I thought finishing the book was going to change everything.

What I realized is the book is now able to change everybody else. But the process of writing it is what changed me.

That’s where the real reward lives. Not at the finish line. In the work it took to get there.

Chase greatness. Just make sure you look around and enjoy it on the way. by @bretteaton_

Maybe change isn’t as hard as we make it out to be.

Maybe most people just haven’t reached the point where staying the same feels worse.

A question I keep coming back to.

Do we have to reach the top of the mountain just to realize the climb was the best part?

Because how many times have we watched or heard someone get everything they thought they wanted and still not feel the happiness, success, and fulfillment they thought they would.

Why is that?

Is it because expecting our lives to drastically change because of one accomplishment is the wrong expectation? Or is is that don’t put enough stock into realizing the climb is what actually where we grow and where the excitement lies?

I can’t say I’ve found an answer I’m completely satisfied with yet.

So it means I will keep questioning, learning, studying, and trying to figure out why so many of us allow the best parts of our lives and journey to pass us by somehow convincing ourselves, ā€œeverything will be better when ____.ā€

Maybe it will. Maybe it won’t.

All I know now, is that having something exciting to pursue really is the dream.

The climb is not the obstacle. The climb is actually the whole point. by @bretteaton_

I used to have a lot of bad days.

After years of studying people who I thought were successful, I realized they didn’t have many bad days. Why was that?

I realized they did one thing that I didn’t after a bad day. They would actually analyze why they has a bad day.

- What did their morning look like.
- What did they eat.
- Who did they spend time with.
- Where did they give too much energy and where didn’t they give enough.

Those aren’t random questions. They’re clues.

I realized I was never going to eliminate bad days. But my worst days needed to be leading me somewhere better. That’s the whole point of paying attention. And that’s how your bad days should lead to even more great days. by @bretteaton_
