Opening tomorrow at @momentum_fine_art in Miami, Talamh is the latest collaboration from @islandphotographersgroup

The show continues the groups’s collaborative approach and marks our first exhibition outside Ireland. Many thanks to Vincent Milner and @cultureireland for making this project possible.

There will be artists talks and a book signing on Saturday.

Talamh is the Irish word for land or ground and carries meanings that extend beyond physical terrain to include heritage, memory and belonging. Talamh brings together work by eight Ireland-based contemporary photographers working across a range of themes, united by a shared commitment to long-form photographic projects @conorhorgan @shanelynam @fionnmccann @malcolmmcgettigan @yvettemonahan @agatastoinska.

For this exhibition, Island Photographers and @momentum_fine_art invited @lindabrownlee to exhibit alongside the group.

📚 Welcome our first guest for 2026!📚 Brían Sparks, @brianjsparks is a Dublin-based photographer whose practice is concerned with psychogeography, shaped by decades spent moving between Ireland, Belgium, Italy, and Sweden. Working through long, meandering walks, he photographs his immediate surroundings, connecting with the underlying emotional life of place.

Alongside his practice, Brian is an avid and eclectic photobook collector, drawn to fresh ideas, formats, and new ways of experiencing books. Since 2021, he has been creating @photobookcombos — an ongoing project that places photobooks in dialogue, opening up new ways of reading, connecting, and experiencing photobooks beyond the page.

Brían is also a co-founder of @islandphotographersgroup, an artist-led collective raising awareness, understanding, and engagement with contemporary photography in Ireland through community building, artist talks, exhibitions, and publications. During his takeover, Brian will share some of his favourite photobookcombos, alongside some obscure, quirky and intriguing titles from his library.
