🥒🏓 CELEBRITY PICKLEBALL. FOOD. WINE. SPIRITS. $5,000 IN CASH PRIZES.

The Del Mar Wine + Food Festival Celebrity Pickleball Tournament is back Friday, October 2 at the Barnes Tennis Center in Point Loma — and this one is going to be a blast.

I’m excited to co-host with TV chef and San Diegan @brianmalarkey for an afternoon that brings together celebrities, professional athletes, great pickleball, incredible food, wine and spirits — all in one experience.

🏆 COME TO PLAY
Compete in one of two divisions for a combined $5,000 purse — $3,000 Advanced and $2,000 Intermediate — and be part of a field filled with celebrities and athletes.

🍷 OR COME TO WATCH, EAT & DRINK
Spectator tickets include an all-inclusive courtside food, wine, spirits and beverage experience while you watch all the action.

Our celebrity lineup includes James Blake , Brett Tomko, Eric Byrnes, Shawn Walker, and my good friends and San Diego natives Miles Doughty, lead singer of Slightly Stoopid, and Jud Buechler, a 12-year NBA veteran and three-time NBA Champion with the Chicago Bulls — plus many more.

It’s basically a food and wine festival wrapped around a one-of-a-kind celebrity pickleball event.

PORTLAND!!! I said it in @fortunemag and I’ll say it again - I’m betting BIG on this city.

Portland is a new frontier of opportunity. The energy is back, the people are hungry for something great and I believe the growth opportunity here is MASSIVE.

We didn’t come here just to open another restaurant. We came here to be part of the comeback.

UNITE. CELEBRATE. BUILD. MAKE SOME $$$. And have a hell of a lot of fun doing it.

The Malarkey (@the_malarkey_pdx), celebrity chef Brian Malarkey's highly-anticipated wacky steakhouse, is finally here. 🥩

Malarkey (@brianmalarkey) and chef Jose Lalo Camarena (@lalocamarena_) are committed to keeping Portland weird, with light pink walls, a moody bathroom lit with a disco ball, and a cowboy's mentality across the menu. Eater contributor Nori De Vega (@nomnom_nori) chats with them about the process of creating the Malarkey while sampling dishes like steelhead crudo with strawberry aguachile, butter-drenched mashed potatoes, and a whole-fried rockfish.
