was extremely bummed out last week when they canceled porch fest. I was so looking to the best weather of the year, as it has been for the last 10 years. Well..if you missed it as well and desire to be around other humans in great wether, come on out to the Decatur BBQ festival this weekend.

For the last 5 years, Leah and I, along with a crew of rad humans and BBQ aficionados have helped plan and program the Decatur BBQ Fest. For whatever reason I don’t talk about it too much, because it’s just something we do. But since we were robbed last week, let’s party this weekend.

The cool thing about BBQ fest is not even the BBQ or the beers or the vendors, or the live music, it’s that we have had Deep South Wrestling set up the last few years and THAT is the best part, for me at least. Pro Wrestling in Oakhurst? Give me a hell yeah! They put on 4 matches throughout the festival and they are extremely fun. Even if you don’t like wrestling, but like watching kids cheer on the baby face and boo the heel, it’s a doggone good time.

So yeah…come hang out. This Saturday, Noon to 6pm. Party on. by @brianmanley

Update for Porchfest: with the threat of wild weather and tons of rain tomorrow, we and and @schoolofdesignband have decided to cancel our Porchfest gig. I was really looking forward to this day, my favorite day of the year, to hang and celebrate with friends, but it’s not looking good and it doesn’t show any signs of optimism, just rain. So….its a bummer, but the good news is we will have @schoolofdesignband back next year, and we will blow it out. Promise. Beers will still be on me. by @brianmanley

This weekend at Oakhurst Porchfest we will be hosting @schoolofdesignband on our porch at 4pm! Not only will they be bringing the full band energy, we will also have our neighbors who are aerialists perform an amazing show of acrobatic awesomeness! Are they a band? Nope. Is it going to rule? Yep. Come by early and check out other Porchfest bands on 3rd Ave. Beers on me. 🍺 taken in Decatur, Georgia by @brianmanley

I love baseball. I love music. I love the Braves. I love designing stuff that checks off all 3, when I’m lucky enough too. Last night was Spencer Strider Vinyl Giveaway night at @truistpark and I got to steal few posters I designed for the show they held in The Battery after the game. (They even did a dope spot UV varnish on the record part of the design. It looks rad) We won. (Suck it Mets) Show was great too. Go @braves !!!

I think these posters will be available at The Earl tomorrow for the show with. Go check out @siichaq @the_echolocations and @tavernbreakfast tomorrow night!!! by @brianmanley

The kid and I had to see it for ourselves. Having the World Cup in town has been great and we had to see the energy before the Argentina v England match. Far more Argentinian fans out repping their country. What a joy for the city. Vamos!!! by @brianmanley

A few days ago, my day was a real pain in the ass. Getting my email hacked and shooting out fake RFPs to anyone i’ve ever emailed, felt like a real kick in the pants. I really don’t like attention pointed my way, especially on something I had zero control over. I think I figured it out. I think I recovered. Somewhat.

On a side note… I got my hands on a @newlandcamera that converts an old and virtually unusable Polaroid Land camera from the 60s. When pack film was easily available, this was a daily driver. When pack film stopped being produced, it just got put on the shelf. Now thanks to @newlandcamera it has a new life.

It’s not a perfect science and or workflow, but it works. I still have yet to figure out how to eject the film without getting weird chemical spread and wonky textures, but I kind of love it. It’s a camera full of Bob Ross-ian happy accidents. taken in Decatur, Georgia by @brianmanley
