POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

Q4 2025 - It was determined that work would wait. That songs had hidden on pages too long. That we weren’t getting any younger. It was proclaimed that fortune favors the bold….and that it was time to be bold. Within a week there were canceled work meetings, nee meetings with studio owners and music producers. Bosses were given requested days off. One of us took a short sabbatical. Family was considered and consulted and convinced (consoled?). And the gears were in motion. And they’re still in motion. Our bew single Give us the Heart ❤️ comes from ht this Friday. Next post will show the amazing art that @brianmanley did for it!❤️❤️❤️🔥🔥🔥 So to summarize. We made a rock and roll record with @tjthunder at @bigtroublerecording it was life changing. Out friend @justinreich captured a ton of footage and made us a sick af video which you can find on YouTube for Vampires. @danmillice put his sparkle magic on the tracks during the mastering process. And @dylankight gave us the beat advice ever. “Just make something you can be proud of.” And we did. And we are. And our new song comes out this Friday. And we still have our jobs. And our families. And we’ve done something we’ve always wanted to do. So here’s another #keepinkeepingon song. There are many more where it came from.

Goodbye Gravity may have our name on the front, but there are SO many talented people behind it. ❤️

This album was three years in the making, and along the way, an incredible group of producers, artists, photographers, videographers, actors, animators, crews, friends, and collaborators helped bring these 10 songs — and the world around them — to life.

So this post is for them. 🙌

To everyone who produced a track, stood behind (or in front of) a camera, created artwork, acted, animated, skated, filmed, built, helped, or jumped into one of our crazy ideas… THANK YOU.

Matthew Parker • Luke Johns • Doug Weier • Brian Manley • Shelby Beckler • Ryder Lowney • Ken Loechner • Melody Payne Alonzo • Ryne Gurney • Fort Wayne Roller Derby • Skating Party Crew • DJ Code • HU Crew • Evelio Puente • Pameldo Abdul Aziz • ALL of our friends and family who supported us in a million different ways, THANK U. 🫶

We’re incredibly grateful for every person who left their fingerprints on Goodbye Gravity. It wouldn’t be what it is without you.

This album belongs to a whole lot more people than just us. ❤️🚀

What an Epic Adventure - It was about a year ago @mikebarnhillmusicdad said “F It!!” I’m going to be courageous and call the producer in Atlanta I’ve wanted to work with for years. And with that began a new journey, a next level if you will. And HYDRA FIGHTER gained a lot of XP (experience points). I think making this record with @tjthunder at @bigtroublerecording helped us all realize how much we all really love the process, the work, the discovery, the challenge, the EXHAUSTION!! Nobody tells you how hard it’s going to be in your 40’s to step away from life for two solid weeks to work on a dream. Step away from family, from career, from SLEEP! We worked so hard to make this record, but it was Joy the entire time. We would go to sleep drained, then jump out of bed the next morning so stoked to do it again. It was not all joy, there was heaviness, heartbreak, pain, frustration and toil but @justinreich captured the beauty of this experience like only he can (despite the fact he also directs heavy metal videos and thriller films, he is a master at lifting, catching, and sharing the true power of a feeling in film). Lastly, we got the record art back from @brianmanley a couple of days ago and it is absolutely, brilliantly perfect. It made me (Mike B) tear up and burst into a Spiritual laugh, which is my reaction to any art that blows my mind and connects instantly. Sorry for the long post. But levels lead to mote levels and I so grateful to be allowed to be on this journey. The one that always called me, even when I hid from it and denied it for a decade. #herosjourney #howtofightahydra #atlantabands #neverquit #dowhatyouloveandlovewhatyoudo

We are incredibly proud and excited to present this year’s @argosyeav / @badearl @eavstrut main stage lineup! @tripledsucks and @the_doh have been pushing to grow our festival stage every year, and this one is a f*cking doozy. We consider everyone on the roster not only world class performers, but esteemed friends. Onward and possibly upward, EAV. Let’s show this city who’s boss.

@omnideluxe - only atlanta show of 2026. From local stages to @subpop to the world. Performing debut LP “Deluxe” in it’s entirety.
@countrywesterns - Nashville institution with deep ATL cred. Joseph Plunkett + former Silver Jews drummer Brian Kotzur.
@malevich.band- ATL heavy hitters on the heels of their ‘Under a Gilded Sun’ LP
@babybitesband - Probably being too much. Precocious post punk locals.
@gardens.of- Legendary lineup formed from the ashes of Neon Christ in 1989 and reformed in 2021. Do. Not. Miss.

XXXL @argosymarket_eav from noon to 10.
Daytime DJ sets by @scottdavidmorris @sensoryoverlord & @townsonwells.
1 Day Comedy Contest by @squidsandgiggleseav in the Brig.
Afterparty by @soundsbyjvs and friends. Pace yourselves.
DJ’s & market start at noon. Bands at 4. Dance party at 10.

We could not have put this show on FOR FREE + ALL AGES without the unwavering support of our generous sponsors.

We caught up with Spencer Strider of the Atlanta Braves after his third annual vinyl giveaway game, a unique take on fan giveaways that allows him to showcase his favorite local bands. The 2026 edition included releases from The Echolocations (@the_echolocations), Siichaq (@siichaq), and Tavern Breakfast (@tavernbreakfast). Thursday night 8/13 at The Earl (@badearl) all three bands will be performing!
.
Strider also discussed his favorite record store (@criminalrecords), favorite Atlanta musician that was part of previous vinyl giveaway, his first show live show and some artists he’s still seeking out. What a great dude that is using his platform to shine a light on local music!
