What a morning at @forward.usa ! When @neelhome asked me six months ago if I could do a workshop for 1,000 people, I told him no 😂

“It can’t be done. Workshops are for 30 people. Maybe 100 if you’re really pushing it.”

So anyway, today I did a workshop for 1000 people. And it was a wild success.

We just received five honors at the Cicero Speechwriting Awards 🤯

More than any other speechwriter or firm in this year’s competition.

🥇Three category wins. 🏅Two honorable mentions.

Across healthcare, social justice, leadership, wellness, and communication.

The Cicero Awards are the most prestigious honor in the speechwriting profession, judged by a panel that includes international rhetoric experts and even former a White House speechwriter.

I’m incredibly proud of this team and the work we do.

For the second consecutive year, we’ve been recognized by the International Academy of Digital Arts and Sciences for our work on social impact projects 🎉

The Anthem Awards are the Oscars of social impact. This year we are recognized for our work (message design and speechwriting) on @drmargaretrutherford ’s now viral, iconic talk at TEDxBocaRaton on perfectly hidden depression - the depression masked by perfectionism.

In two weeks we will find out where the judges rank this project, but simply being recognized alongside finalists like PBS, ABC News, Pfizer AARP, Johnson & Johnson, The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research, Doctors Without Borders, and The Rockefeller Foundation is enough to fill one’s cup.

Congratulations to Dr. Rutherford for delivering a talk on such a critical topic, and making an enormous dent in the universe. I am honored to have played a role in bringing it to life.

Five years ago I first encountered a video in someone's Zoom waiting room, a sizzle reel if you will, and I was blown away. It set the tone for the meeting I was about to have, got me excited and perked up.

I thought to myself, "Obviously I should do this." And then five years went by 😅

By alas, we finally did it. My brilliant in-house video editor at Clarity Up, Nellie, created this sizzle reel and we uploaded it last week to my Zoom waiting room.

One day later I got on a call with a longstanding client, who was visibly energized and blurted out, "I was just watching your video. It was like going to Vegas!"

We often procrastinate business opportunities that are neither urgent nor important. But those little things can be HUGE.
