The first take didn't exactly go according to plan... 🐶😂 Creative differences, you might say.

This performance is dedicated to the everyday heroes at City of Hope...those providing extraordinary care, compassion, and hope to patients and their families every single day.

I'm honored to be participating in the Music of Hope program this month. If you're in Newport Beach, I'd love to see you at one of my appearances on the Lido Deck...look for the BLUE piano:

🎹 Saturday, August 15(4:30-6:30) • Solo
🎹 Saturday, August 29(4:30-6:30 • Trio

📍Lido Deck • Lido Marina Village
3434 Via Lido, Newport Beach

🎵 "My Hero" — Foo Fighters
Written by Dave Grohl, Nate Mendel & Pat Smear.

Grateful for another beautiful evening of music at Del Mar Highlands Town Center. One of my favorite parts of these summer nights is meeting so many wonderful people who gather to listen, share a conversation, and remind me how music has the ability to bring us all together. Looking forward to seeing some familiar faces (and making some new friends) when I'm back on August 28 & September 11.

My white grand is beginning to hit its stride and rolled into the beautiful Rotunda at @waldorfastoriamonarchbeach for a VIP event. I couldn't resist filming a few scenes beneath those incredible frescoes and figured Hallelujah would pair pretty well with the room.

Recorded the live parts this morning on the 7' Kawai grand that lives in my home studio. I usually perform Hallelujah as a guitar/vocal piece, so this was a fun exercise today in reimagining it for solo piano.

Stick around until the end for a little behind-the-scenes reality... the glamorous life of a traveling piano player. 😄

Great night making music with some of my favorite people. Had the chance to sit in with the talented singer-songwriter Jeff Brinkman on one of his beautiful originals, Venus & Mars, alongside my longtime friend Michael Gross on drums/percussion and the incomparable Melissa Barrison on violin.

Always a pleasure stepping into someone else's musical world for a while. If you haven't checked out Jeff's music yet, do yourself a favor and give him a follow: @jeffbrinkman 👏

I've been an empty-nester for a couple of years now. Every now and then though, the stars align, and I get to share the stage with both of my kids again… and those nights are pretty special.

This is "Change" by Big Thief, featuring some of my favorite three-part harmonies with Jaden and Alayna, plus the always incredible Michael Gross on drums and percussion.

Huge thanks to everyone at the Claremont Club for having us. And yes… Alayna wasted no time jumping onto the pickleball courts the moment we wrapped. 😄🎾 (went 3 and 0 I'm happy to say)

These are the gigs I'll remember.

Working on a little Smashing Pumpkins (and ego) today. I'm still new to this whole filming-myself thing. Wondering if anyone else has occasional Uncle Rico-from-Napoleon Dynamite moments while trying to get that perfect take? 😆🎹

5003 miles...

An unforgettable roadtrip through 13 states last Fall. Unbelievable sunsets from our little beachfront rental on the Gulf Coast. Might be a little hidden bonus track at the end for anyone who sticks around :)

🎵 Pink Moon – Nick Drake 🎵

A truly remarkable artist that we lost far too early. Even if you don't recognize the title, there's a good chance you've heard this one in a movie soundtrack, TV show, or somewhere along the way. It's one of those songs that quietly stays with you. Maybe selfishly 🤔...we find ourselves closing with it more often than not lately.

Performed live at The Ranch in Laguna Beach.

One of my favorite recent adds to the trio repertoire 🎶

So fun to have my son, Jaden, join in on guitar these days!! Such a great song, great groove, and a perfect fit for a beautiful evening in Los Angeles
