A summer season to cherish saddled with such a dismal snowpack. Great friends and great times. We made the most of it and then some. Thanks @friscopowderaddict @dougtheskier @k_snow_bakes @zach__ryan @treesrockinonalpine @tim.day.7675 @jclove7 Fingers crossed for a stellar upcoming season filled with deep snow and broad smiles 😀 #skiing #ski #colorado #skiingislife #backcountryskiing @elanskis @robruhl by @brianvwiens

A challenging snowpack couldn’t get between the 3 of us and an excellent September tour. Congrats @friscopowderaddict (Gary) on 16 years of consecutive monthly skiing and the same to @k_snow_bakes (Kurt) as he moves deeper into year 15. Some days leave you with smiles that never dim. Yesterday was that day 😁😁😁#skiing #ski #colorado #skiingislife #backcountryskiing @elanskis @robruhl by @brianvwiens

“8/1/26”. One of those days that leaves you grinning ear to ear and yearning for more. Perfect snow, weather and company, thanks Gary. 31 years of consecutive monthly skiing, nearly half my life, and hopefully many more fun times ahead. Absolutely loving life in the Colorado high alpine ❤️. #skiing #ski #colorado #skiingislife #backcountryskiing @friscopowderaddict @elanskis @robruhl by @brianvwiens

August 1, 2026. Colorado's 150th birthday. What a great day for a ski with @brianvwiens . While the amount of snow on this line is the least that I have seen in the past 16 years, the snow quality was surprisingly good. As always, we were both stoked to be out skiing on such a beautiful summer day. On this day, Brian completed 31 years of skiing every month, while I will hit 16 years next month. Our passion and love for the sport will keep us going as long as possible. Cheers to everyone who is skiing year round. #turnsallyear #earnyourturns #humanpoweredskiing #skiingislife #colorado taken in Colorado by @brianvwiens

My first turns at 65. Wait, what?? When did this happen?? I found a Medicare card in my wallet, what?? I blinked and 40 years passed. The body slows but the mind is sharp and passion burns deep within. I love Colorado & our mountains to pieces and my family and my friends. The flame may fade on the outside but the fire inside will burn bright forever. Each day now feels more and more like a bonus that I will gladly take. And the beat goes on …. 😁#skiing #ski #colorado #skiingislife #backcountryskiing @elanskis @robruhl by @brianvwiens

Three friends with a shared love for the mountains and a desire to ski year round. A combined 72 years of consecutive monthly skiing. Even the lowest Colorado snowpack on record can’t subdue this incredible June vibe. Enjoying what Mother Nature serves up and loving every minute of it. Thanks Doug and Gary. It’s one hell of a journey we are on 😀#skiing #ski #skiingislife #backcountryskiing #summerskiing @dougtheskier @friscopowderaddict @elanskis @libertyskis @robruhl by @brianvwiens

Yesterday, as the curtain continued falling on the worst snowpack in Colorado history, “Mother Nature” offered us an olive branch and we gladly accepted. Just not sure if it was real or just an incredible dream 😁#skiing #ski #skiingislife #backcountryskiing #powderskiing @treesrockinonalpine by @brianvwiens

Even in a snow challenged year, bright spots can be found. Yesterday, with Parker, was a prime example 😄 @treesrockinonalpine #powderskiing #backcountryskiing #skiingislife #skiing #ski by @brianvwiens

Came across this relic at my father’s townhouse. 2/16/80. 18 years old hiking the East Wall at Arapahoe Basin. Some things in life remain the same ❤️#skiingismypassion #skiingforlife #skiingisfun #skiingislife #skiing @arapahoe_basin by @brianvwiens

Reconnected with a longtime friend today in Vail after a 25 year absence and it was magic. Just two old(er) guys transforming low tide conditions into high tide vibes. Thanks Thad!!! #colorado #skiing #ski #skiingislife by @brianvwiens
