This is just a fun way for me to continue to try and fundraise due to the vulnerable position I am, celebrate my friendships with @nateofthelivingdead, Anic, @nvrmndsk8, @devolition08 @brycepyper and my angel friend Matthew who is the first person I ever met who called me an artist and made me believe I was more than what I believed I could ever be.

I am only as strong as the people who continue to care for me. Thank you. And not represented is my beautiful friendship with Selma/ @vegansyrianpdx. I’d probably not be on earth without her. She is the music while the music lasts (that’s a quote from a song my amazing brother @keep_it_simpu once wrote. My parents are also supportive and gave me strength this week. Thank you @all_factors_wellness.

I love to teach and also I just ended group therapy and said some little words and the therapist said “okay Bri! Ending us on a high note!” And then I started crying and had to turn off my camera because I don’t actually like to be perceived.

Thank Godot my therapist stood me up today. Homegirl got on my nerves last week because she said no one would ever fully understand me.

Then I realized she’s right, though, and it’s okay.

Anyway, I decided to still draw a picture of me in a fictional therapist session with Dr. Lecter. With me is my fictional spouse, Darcy, who understands me to me core. I drew this as my revenge cause she always asks to see my “expression” drawings. How do you like them apples, doc?

I hate that this song is stuck in my head, but hey, that’s life.

Another decent day of drawing during lunch and thinking of brain science, marveling at trees, running late to work.

That first drawing is my actual brain, the torso of a catholic and then also Gloria a ghost that lives with Lia and I. Oh and I’ve been cooking a lot.

Buried my ego, give me a minute.

10 mos into the year, and my curiosity for life has finally returned. I’m myself again. and yes I found out why they say curiosity killed the cat, but like Selina KYLE, I have many more lives to live.

Looking forward to crafting Killing Kyle (And other Grave Mistakes), a doc.

Rewatching The Matrix and spending a few days walking around portland and the beach with one of my best friends from college was just the thing to make me have an epiphany finally. They’ve seen every (bad and good) version of me, and they were one of the first friends I went on car adventures with.

How appropriate they’re helping me end one of my chapters to finally start another one.

I’m looking up now that i’ve stopped treating life like a novel you can close read.

There were two bunnies like this at the ocean when I took my college best friend today and allegedly I used to talk about rabbits a lot on a regular basis in school and there’s no way I can now prove I’m not some strange bunny freak because I also had mentioned rabbit shaped vegan food on the way to the coast. And I can’t very well say that’s just a coincidence. Maybe I also brought up Donnie Darko yesterday, too. Maybe I’m autistic, but who can say 🤷🏾‍♀️

Lenny and I can’t help it if we just want to tend the rabbits, okay! Sorry we aren’t built for this world 😅

Do I know anyone who’d be interested in volunteering to help me come up with guiding questions to ask me to help turn the film project Killing Kyle into a hybrid doc of my mistakes in the last year/ narrative footage?

Ideally, it’ll be someone who has a genuine curiosity about lessons learned. And who is free on Saturdays.

Bringing KK and Stay Litt to a close though because I can’t finish it on my own :)

I’ll continue to work on story sharing in a different way, but it’s time to go let go.

sorry for letting myself be spammed and then spamming you in kind. Rest assured, the Lord has punished me this evening with a migraine for my sin. Sorry also for not showing up for all the things I wanted to show up for today.

But I did get to enjoy my nephew’s soccer game (hence the picture of the sport court obviously) and also successfully got Lia to watch Vampire Diaries with me and take a walk. So I think it was still a pretty decent day :) by @briaunaskye

Wrote some words that I find amusing to calm my nervous system. Happy reading and looking at some things that captured my attention this week.

“You see, they expect me to still be the bubbly, “high functioning” human that they met a year ago. But instead, they get to meet Briauna 2.0, who is not unlike the limping detective in a Netflix Thriller who has a confusing and intricate past, a complicated ex who they just can’t quit, and an unhealthy tendency with pressing the snooze button on Self Actualization.”
