Friends! We only have 5 more production days left to wrap production of my first feature length film, Killing Kyle. We’re on pause, though, because this is a self produced passion project being made by the likes of me, a single mom who is also low income. I just had a dream that I couldn’t give up. Feel free to throw us some gas money on Venmo by sending one million dollars to us at @staylittpdx on Venmo.

Featured actor: @lulu.redden
Videographer: @nigel_j_fountain
Consulting producer/editor for this scene: @esau.world
Screenwriter/director/costuming: @briaunaskye

Shirt was designed by the great @shopcoatpdx ❤️

Once again, our Venmo is @staylittpdx or our gofundme can be found in the bio of @killingkylefilm

Get in you beautiful loser! In the new year we’re making intentional choices and dope art with our hood rat radical filmmaking friends. ;).

Killing Kyle will resume production, but our friends @jessevalencia.official and @kristenpizzo.actor and @untoldshortshorts will also be creating and releasing content that will move and inspire you.

It’s okay for an actor to be political. It’s okay for an actor to be a human. It’s okay for an actor to rest. It’s okay for an actor to say with her femme boy flat chest that I don’t want to break into the industry, I want to break it.

Glindas, what do the Elphabas in your life need right now?

Mine would love funding for their film @killingkylefilm 💚

CORRECTION: they/them/theirs pronouns for Bri the human, the character Elphaba is she/her. I'm still a Glinda.

Portland was good to us. Sooo much food and fun! We left there with friends that we look forward to seeing again. Loved the vibes, the people, the vintage thrift stores, watching a movie being created with my man acting, and the food! Most of all, I loved traveling with @joshunmasked. Best travel buddy ever. Portland, we will see you again soon 😈

@hishastyness is one of my new favorite people to act with! Today we wrap him for Killing Kyle, but hopefully I didn’t torment him too much and he’ll be in something else of mine again in the future. He’s a real piece of work 🙄 but he’s incredibly talented and beautiful. Congrats for being ten out of ten and for adding some very lovely texture to the film. Also, world, the text image is just a prank. I sent it to myself from his phone in order to teach him about phone safety and why you should never underestimate a world class detective and founder of Bri-Skye Investigations LLC. We specialize in solving crime and doing pranks when we’re not writing or directing.#

Also, my loves, this is a self-funded project being made by me, a single mom who is also disabled. So feel free donate to @staylittpdx on Venmo to help a passionate creative out so I don’t have to go into my Jean Valjean era for real, for real. I’m just a gorl.

Why anyone takes me seriously I don’t know, but I’m really glad people showed up last night for another filming day of Killing Kyle.

Here are some very casual BTS photos ;).

Special thank you to my friend @paterbrian for taking on the role of our villain Kyle. Thanks for handling the role with care and for being able to dig into it without making him a one note character despite him being a bit of a douche. I really appreciate you letting me work with you as a baby director not once but twice this year. He’s honestly a pleasure to direct because he truly knows film history, and I didn’t really ever feel like I was failing at communicating so it was a truly a gift to have you on set and I’m crying cause it was your wrap day! I’m honored.

Thank you @lulureddennn for also handling this scene with care and humor! You looked beautiful.

Thank you to my little princess @serena_audrey_17 for joining us and playing a role that I actually was anxious about casting for obvious reasons. I’m grateful to have been able to cast a kind, thoughtful soul who is also beautiful in a scene that was more painful to revisit than I anticipated. But you helped keep me grounded all night 💕

Thank you so much to @nateofthelivingdead for being a ride or die and an amazing extra. Thank you @liannaperryfountain for effortlessly amusing me as usual 😂 I would like to hang the last photo on my wall. I’m lowkey obsessed with nuns. Also, thank you Alessandro! You’re an actor now, congrats :).

Thanks to the crew @syedpervez @nigel_j_fountain @esau.world and Larry for making it look like a MOVIE. They really are the best, @nigel_j_fountain you will be famous one day for photography I hope.
