Keeping the streak alive! Last fall we won first place at the 2025 fish for a cure tournament aboard the 26 regulator. And now for the first tournament of 2026 we start of by hitting the ground running with a first place win at the Tiki lees rockfish invitational. This is the biggest, single largest payout rockfish tournament in the world and we won it fair and square right in our back yard. I’m proud of my team for fishing hard and trusting me to make the right calls. I like to fish in tournaments that have real money on the line with stiff competition because I believe it makes you not only a better angler, but it keeps you on top of your game. Our yearly friends trip down in VA with @rookiemistakesfishing and @brice.omalley was nothing short of amazing. Crushing redfish and cobia all day and night with Brice just shows how good he really is at what he does. by @brice.omalley

First Redfish… and what an incredible way to start!

I finally caught my very first Red Drum in the legendary Chesapeake Bay, and I couldn’t have asked for a better guide than Captain @brice.omalley from @rookiemistakesfishing . What an amazing experience!

These fish are unbelievably strong, hit hard, and fight all the way to the boat. I can already tell this won’t be my last time chasing them.

The first eat of the day was a sick one!! @camronpriest24 got caught off guard but quickly was able to get tight, unfortunately that fish broke his rod later in the fight 😭 y’all will def wanna see this episode when it comes out! This will hands down be one of the most epic clips I’ve ever been able to have captured on the boat. To say we are spoiled is an understatement but almost every trip this year down here has provided fishing just like this. There is no where in the world where bluefin act like they do here and these are the biggest meanest versions the ocean has to offer. To be able to have the opportunity at my age to do this is something I’ll never take for granted. On the ride out one of the local Capt’s said a prayer over the radio for the fleet. I truly believe the outer banks is one of the last places in the US where the folks value each other more than a dollar, or Internet fame. These guys work there asses off to provide an experience like no other. And if you ever get the Opportunity to go, GO! #bluefin #tuna #bluefintuna by @brice.omalley

Man, getting the drone up at the same time as the tuna would come up was extremely difficult, it was also breezy out on the rip, and the big drone had a technical issue where it didn’t wanna take off, so I made due with the mini, and captured a small piece of a giant blowing up on Cams stick bait! This was the only giant we touched the leader on and got boat side, unfortunately it took all hands on deck to get that 90-95” bluefin to come up, and right as we got ready to put the big boga grips in its mouth and get a proper photo and release, he decided to take one last ditch effort escape and broke the leader finally, idc we didn’t get the clip, insane experience and seeing a true giant next to a 26’ Regulator and knowing 3 grown men pulled that monster to the surface with a spinning rod was just insane, true beasts of nature! Mad respect to the Billy Hayes and other light tackle legends that man handle 6-800lb tunas solo like it’s nothing, i got a lot of working out and learning/studying technique to do! 😭🤣 Humbled is an understatement! Huge shoutout to Capt. @brice.omalley he is absolutely dialed, had us on them all damn day, and i’m so glad we choose him to help test our app, couldn’t of chose a better captain, and he is passionate as we are when it comes to these fish! Has an absolutely insane day with @brice.omalley in OBX chasing giant bluefin with light tackle, all on poppers and stick baits, broke two rods, finally got a 90-95” boat side, just insane fishery so many huge 500-800lb fish just insane 🤯 had em going nuts behind the boat crazy!! 💥🎣🔨🎯

As a fisherman, There are some things in life that truly cannot be put into words. We spend thousands of dollars, hours, lose days of sleep, stress over preparation, weather window, maintenance, the list goes on. But one thing that you can never be prepared enough for are days like this. I’ll let the emotion of the videos and the picture do the talking. An absolutely unforgettable day fishing for bluefin tuna in the OBX. One of the best days of bluefin tuna fishing I’ve ever got to experience. I had a super fishy crew on board today and that made my job easy. Unreal. I’ll never forget this one! by @brice.omalley

Had an absolute blast bringing the regulator back down to her old stomping grounds. The last month was amazing with friends and family. Got to catch all types of fish, and explore a bunch of cool areas. Florida is definitely where my heart is. Love it down there! taken in Stuart, Florida by @brice.omalley
