The dr is in: prescription from your landscape architect— daily steps to keep the summer, winter, spring or fall blues away:
Step 1: walk on a gravel path- the crunching sound keeps you present;
Step 2: use contrast therapy - sauna + cold plunge can ease aches and pains and boost your mood;
Step 3: consider hydrating or grabbing a snack but instead head straight to step 4 and 5
Step 4: take a dip in the pool, float on a floaty, do a cannonball-splashing in the water like you’re a kid again is bound to bring you joy; AND
Step 5 : REPEAT steps 1-5 landscape Architecture by @mtlandscape_architecture Photos by @artgrayphoto by @bridgetkatestudio

once we “complete” a project, it is never finished. it needs time to grow, mature, establish. it’s the evolution of the landscape and spaces that we think about when designing—
how it changes with the seasons, the light, the use. when we come back (sometimes after years) we get to witness that evolution.

Designing a fun outdoor garden for a client - just like interiors I like to mix bald colors, sculptures with simple white landscaping and lush greens. Every space needs to be not only practical but beautiful. Health is at the forefront of all my design these days so I am always pushing for infrared saunas, cold plunges, great outdoor speakers for ambient sound and cozy places to dine, relax and share with friends.. #outdoorliving #landscapedesign #wellness by @bridgetkatestudio

I had so much fun designing this TV room for my client in Ojai. When I first saw @sarahellisonstudio sofa I immediately fell in love and just knew this room would be a perfect home for it. This room was so dark so I lightened it up with @portolapaints Roman clay and then hid the TV and sound equipment with new custom doors. The rug color I chose to mimic the lush landscape outside and make the sofa pop! Rug @modernrugs_la taken in Ojai, California by @bridgetkatestudio

The lovely @amyarchambaultstudio posted this today we work together a lot on projects she is so talented how she takes my design and makes it come to life.. this little fun project is happening very soon… I cannot wait to work with @bananas_and_hammocks on the build out !! I have been designing a lot for big projects lately that will take a few years to come to fruition this one I hope to see in the next few months.. my favorite part of design is when I get to share a journey with so many other talented friends. The inspiration for this cute little coffee shop started with my grandmothers sofa I grew up looking at in her sun room we were only allowed to sit on it on very special occasions I was always in love with the tufting.. my mum use to have a fringe lamp shade in her bedroom that always made me smile it’s funny as you get older the things that you remember. Thank you Amy for the lovely post.. #coffeshopdesign #interiordesign #ittakesavillage by @bridgetkatestudio

On Friday we hosted our friends and family investment dinner in Ojai. Three years of work has gone Into this and I was so proud of how it turned out. What I love most is the aspect of community involvement. Ojai has some of the most incredibly talented people that I have been lucky to collab with. When I started designing the restaurant for our hotel project I knew I had to know what it was going to smell like first. @byerinyee came up with the most incredible scent that transforms you from city living to sitting by the crackling fire with a glass of red wine and beautiful music playing in the background. We designed little samples for our guests so they could get a little taste of what is to come..
We wrapped them in a @parachutehome pillow because we always want to gift things that have purpose. Our signature @casadelsoltequila cocktails were perfectly made by @justincrftycktls a local loved by all. I wanted to make sure we folded in some NZ accent. @firstlightgrassfed were incredible to work with and provided the beef for the dinner it was perfectly cooked by @alexlacassemakesfood paired perfectly with wines from local wine maker and our fav wine store in Ojai @pointdechene. I wanted to keep the table simple as the setting was the showcase @antipodes_water glistened in the background. Most importantly though were the guests that came and celebrated with us who continue to support our vision. Kenny, Rob and I still have a lot of work ahead of us but this was a great step forward for us all…thank you @nothinmyst for the incredible pics we are so grateful taken in Ojai, California by @bridgetkatestudio

I am so pleased to see this little powder room nearly finished. My client had no powder room and asked if we could make the broom closet into one. we call this room small but mighty!! To make the most of the space I found this piece of marble @davincimarble and designed this wall hung vanity so we could have enough room to wash hands but also space to add wash cloths and a lovely fat @diptyque candle I think one of their gold ones would be great! So happy to see this bathroom nearly completed. The original master bath was tiny so we took down the walls and made the guest bathroom and master one big bathroom. We popped the ceiling up to 10 ft added 4 slabs of marble in the shower, two shower heads, a new tub and vanity. All the fixtures are @wtrwrks the new @loewenwindows windows throughout the house made a big difference. I can’t wait to get proper pics these are just in my phone. #wfptastemakers #wayfairprostyle taken in Larkspur, California by @bridgetkatestudio
