📣 Meet the Founders of Forward Movement Network

What started as a shared passion became a purpose-driven movement.

Though Bridget and Tejah grew up in the same community with close family ties, they didn’t meet until 2022. Since that moment, their support for one another has been unshakable, and so is their shared commitment to building equity and opportunity for those around them.

After learning about the low homeownership rates in the Black community, they felt called to take action. They saw the need not just for access, but for real education, resources, and generational support, from homeownership to financial legacy and wealth building.

They also recognized something just as urgent: students in their own community were lacking the real-world tools needed to build financial confidence, career readiness, and leadership. That realization became the bridge between their vision for adults and their deep investment in youth.

That’s how Forward Movement Network was born: to close the gap from students to adults, empowering both generations with the tools to lead, own, and build lasting impact.

What a day at Love and Real Estate! 🏡❤️

Huge thank you to @venousjones for bringing this group together and for inviting me to speak. Creating a space where agents can show up, share openly, and learn from each other takes real intention, and I’m so grateful I got to be part of it.

Getting to share how I help agents build businesses with more structure and less stress, and then hearing so many of you open up about your own goals, meant so much 🙏🏽

Those conversations kept coming back to the same thing: the end goal is clear, but the plan to get there still needs to be built.

Two years of connections that turned into collaborations. Two years of work that mattered, the kind that helps businesses go from surviving to actually built to grow. Two years of walking into rooms I used to dream about, and getting to speak, teach, and lead in spaces that matter.

Forward Movement Network 🖤

Our mission is to increase economic opportunities for underrepresented communities. We do this through homeownership pathways, income growth strategies, and by equipping youth with leadership skills, anticipatory thinking, and the tools to pursue their business and career aspirations with confidence.

Our immediate need: Mock Interview Volunteers! 🎤💼

We’re looking for local professionals and business owners willing to give their time to help students practice interviewing, receive real-world feedback, build confidence, and better understand what employers are looking for.

Beyond mock interviews, we’re always looking for community members who can offer internships, job shadowing, mentorship, career exposure, guest speaking, or simply help us open another door for a young person.

I was just sitting at Starbucks shooting some B-roll while I worked when this happened. 🥲

She stopped to tell me that she’s been wanting to start vlogging, and seeing me sitting there creating felt like God telling her, “Just go for it.”

Whew.

You really never know who’s watching, who you’re encouraging, or what simply showing up might unlock for someone else.

There will be people in your life who mean more than words can express.

The ones who open their lives.
The ones who believe in you before the world knows your name.
The ones who remind you of what’s possible.

Those relationships become part of your story.

I loved hearing Dorian reflect on the people who helped shape his journey. It’s a reminder that while opportunities matter, it’s often the people behind those opportunities who leave the greatest impact.
