Apparently alumni will do ANYTHING to get back into the Careers office 😂

We were thrilled to welcome back alumni Kate Bond and Morgan Lloyd, the creative minds behind the award-winning @bumbumtrain, to give an exclusive guest lecture to our Illustration students 🚂🎨🖌️

Their shows are famously secret but their impact is undeniable — with fans including Prince Harry, Madonna, Leonardo DiCaprio, Kate Winslet and more!
On their return, Morgan said: “Brighton was such an influential part of our lives that spurred everything – so it’s been really great to come back.”

It was inspiring to see the next generation of creatives so engaged and motivated by their journey 💙

👋 Welcome back!

It’s been a busy September as a new academic year gets underway, with our campuses buzzing with new and returning students.

This month, we’ve climbed the university rankings, celebrated an inspiring radiography educator, seen our Wild House at the V&A and explored new approaches to sustainable design and dyslexia.

Here’s our September roundup! ☝️ by @brightonalumni

There’s something about Brighton in the sunshine ☀️😍

We were treated to some beautiful October weather as the university welcomed our new intake of students this week.

For our alum, Brighton was more than just where you studied. It was friendships, favourite spots, sunny afternoons between lectures and walks along the seafront 🙌

Sometimes a view like this is enough to take you straight back. Share this post with someone Brighton beach reminds you of 💙

Explore the secret power of fungi 🍄‍🟫

We caught up with recent grad Tianna Horbury at the launch of her Deeper than Fungi exhibition to find out why this topic is so important.

The exhibition also features work by fellow Brighton grad Edward Leyton, alongside artist Josh Read.

This project is supported by Grow Wild, the national outreach programme of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. Grow Wild Engagement Officer, Gaia Busic shares why Tianna’s work is a great example of what the Grow Wild Youth Projects are all about.

Make sure you check out this fascinating exhibition open for the rest of the week👇
