Be very careful when coaches start saying things like: do x y and z and you will total 500 dots. Truth is, we don’t know exactly where you’re going to end up We do know that if you work hard, stick to the plan and communicate, you’re going to get better. 🚨Don’t know what to do with your training? @strongmansaxton with some really good tempo work Lot of benefit to adding tempo to your bench: Increased time under tension-for work capacity and muscle growth Joint health and stability-time spent under load in the stretched/vulnerable positions Eliminates bad habits-easiest way to learn to bench is to slow it down 🚨Don’t know what to do with your training? Three red flags in online coaching: 1. They don’t train-it’s hard to relate to a lifter if you haven’t lived the life, it’s even harder to problem solve if you haven’t experienced the problems 2. They haven’t had clients for a long time-lifters will evolve over the course of their lifting career, can you evolve their training based on changing needs? 3. No in person coaching experience-coaching in person teaches you how to cue, make corrections, and develop your coaching eye, all things that are critically important with online coaching. 🚨Don’t know what to do with your training? Secondary bench day: Neutral grip tempo bench-work capacity, growth, and time under tension. All things we need more of. First movement from yesterday: 600x5 pause squat Pause squats can fix just about anything you have going on from a technical standpoint. They also are great for building confidence in the two most troublesome areas: in the hole, and the bottom 1/3 of the way up. 🚨Don’t know what to do with your training?
