never felt so blessed to serve the lord!

This past week I got to experience so much unexplainable joy all from the Lord! I went on my first mission trip to Jamaica and I was honestly really anxious going into it not knowing much But even the first night I could already tell I was going to make so many friendships.
Sunday we went to a local Jamaican church and it was so eye opening seeing how they worship. Then we went to the beach and instead of snorkeling I stayed back and built a friendship with one of the workers named Paul and by the end of the week he felt like one of my best friends. The next few days we were at the worksite building a house for a 67 year old man named Mikey. I wasn’t super excited for this part at first but it ended up being one of my favorite parts. Hiking up a muddy mountain in the rain carrying heavy materials was HARD but seeing how much joy it brought Mikey made everything worth it. His story was so powerful and inspiring.After the work days we did VBS and this was another highlight. The first day a little girl named Emma ran up to me, hugged me, and said “we’re going to be best friends” and we really did connect so much. Another little girl named Lyla told me she walked there alone every day, and on the last night her mom told me she hadn’t stopped talking about me which meant so much to me. Later in the week we got to explore more, like hiking to this HUGE beautiful tree and visiting a pottery shop. Then we gave Mikey and Ms. Claudia their homes and seeing how much joy that brought them literally brought me to tears. Friday We got to climb waterfalls and zipline which was so fun one of my new friends Ty broke his nose and had to go to the hospital. On the way back we had many scary moments but God was watching over us. The flight back gave me lots of anxiety, but with the Lord, I got through it even though it was hard. Less than 15 hours later I got to go to a Brandon Lake concert and worship the Lord there as well.

in summary if you feel called to spread the word of God in other countries or even at home DO IT! I would 1000% recommend putting yourself out there even when the enemy is trying to stop you
