William Scammell has been found not guilty of attempted murder but guilty of possessing a firearm with intent to endanger life 🚨

The jury reached a unanimous verdict on both counts.

Scammell, 25, accepts that he got off an e-bike he was riding, pulled a gun from the waistband of his trousers and shot Ryan Cridland once in the chest as he sat in the passenger seat of a VW Polo on Speedwell Road at about 1.45pm on April 1.

However, he denied trying to kill Mr Cridland and throughout his trial has insisted he just wanted to scare the other man, who he said had been harassing and threatening him prior to the day of the shooting. by @bristollive
