Step inside the atmospheric Redcliffe Caves for 'No Pasarán', an exhibition exploring the lasting impact of the Spanish Civil War, 90 years on.

Bringing together work by three Spanish artists – Natasha Christia, Julián Barón and Anna Jornet – the exhibition explores how the histories, images and symbols of the past continue to shape contemporary Spain.

The extraordinary setting of Redcliffe Caves, with its winding passages and underground chambers, makes this one of the most unusual spaces to experience photography at this year's Bristol Photo Festival.

📍 Redcliffe Caves, Phoenix Wharf, Redcliffe Way, Bristol BS1 6SR What3words: ///fancy.oval.scope
🎟️ Free entry, donations welcome
📅 Open until 15 November

Plan your visit via the link in our bio.

Exhibition supported by Institut Ramin Llull, AC/E and Instituto Cervantes.

I don’t like to post stuff like this and I want to clarify i have permission from the people involved to post this .
In this video myself and others are detaining a BRISTOL FOYER Resident . The individual had destroyed the communal areas and was displaying aggressive and suicidal behaviour. There were serious threats and concerns about the safety of not only the individual but also other residents. There were threats to stab / kill other residents. The young individual was having a mental health crisis and was not receiving any appropriate support . To my knowledge foyer staff are not adequately trained in security and therefore are not allowed to stop or touch anyone which has clearly proven to be a security fault .
There is way more to the story and many more serious concerns within Bristol foyer .
There are knifes and “shanks” within the building used by men to threaten others here .
Drugs are being moved constantly throughout the building .
And on many occasions underage girls have been allowed to drink alcohol within the space .
Residents doors have been “booted off the hinges “multiple times without any consequences.
Ultimately the aim of this post is to spread awareness. Multiple people have expressed there concerns within the Bristol foyer but unfortunately nothing gets done .
Bristol City council and Bristol Foyer need to be held accountable for their continuous Leniency, neglect and endangerment of residents.
If anyone can help or has any advice for any residents please get in contact .
