Today, we face systems and forces that try to distract and deter us, and yet; we persist and work toward a more hopeful future.

If you’re ready to put your faith into action, join Brite Divinity School at Ministry Week 2027 – February 1-3 at University Christian Church in Fort Worth, TX – where we will explore how prophetic preaching, creative worship, and courageous storytelling can transform the world: one story at a time. Through dynamic lectures, interactive workshops, and inspiring worship experiences, Ministry Week 2027 will equip people of the church and the community to become more faithful storytellers, more creative worship leaders, and more courageous witnesses of God’s transformative power.

This year's convening “And Yet, This is Our Story: Prophetic Witness in this Present Age,” will prominently feature distinguished speakers from the church and the academy to explore timely topics like resisting white Christian nationalism, responsible AI in ministry, queering preaching, how to transform conflict into connection, and more. Further details to come, so stay tuned for more at brite.edu/MW2027. by @britedivinity

A time was had this morning!

We left the third annual Black Clergy Breakfast feeling nourished, hopeful, powerful, renewed, and so much more. We appreciate any opportunity to fellowship with churches and congregations in our community and encourage one another in this work.

A special thanks to our keynote speaker - Rev. Dr. Jeremy L. Williams, Associate Professor of New Testament at Brite - who reminded us that we're all born with value, we're unique, and we will have everything we need.

This event was organized and led by Rev. Dr. Erin Edwards with Brite's Department of Ecclesial Innovation. by @britedivinity

Brite Divinity School's Jewish Studies program has a long history of bringing scholars of Christianity and Judaism together to reflect on topics that concern both traditions. Brite continues that tradition with the "Mysticism and Sacred Scripture: Jewish and Christian Perspectives," October 22-23.

Throughout the two-day conference, Brite's Jewish Studies program will convene a group of interdisciplinary scholars in mysticism from all over the United States to explore Jewish and Christian mystical traditions and their engagement with the Scriptures in what promises to be an opportunity to learn and investigate the kind of scholarly collaborations Brite has always championed and cherished.

The Mysticism and Sacred Scripture event runs in tandem with the annual Gates of Chai lecture, “Kabbalah: Then and Now,” led by two distinguished scholars of mysticism. Both events are open to the public.
