POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

This morning I had the pleasure of worshipping with my family at Saint Andrew Christian Church in Olathe, KS. It is the congregation where I hold my membership, as well as the congregation where Chuck serves as pastor to youth and their families. I haven’t been there for worship since July, so it was excellent to be with them today. On top of that, it was an opportunity to hear their guest, Rev. Dr. Stephen Cady (President of Brite Divinity School in FW Texas - one of my alma maters) teach adult education and preach. Let me tell you, it is a brave and humble act for a pastor to invite Dr. Cady to preach, because he is INCREDIBLE. Easily one of the best preachers I’ve ever heard. He’s also a faithful leader asking tough questions about how to encourage and train seminarians for a rapidly changing Church and world. One takeaway for all of us: if we want to see more people enter ministry, we have to be the best Church we can be (so that they can have some POSITIVE experiences in church), and we need to tell people when we see they have gifts for ministry. 🙌🏽🙌🏾🙌🏿

Eight months ago, I began criss crossing our nation, carrying the message of heart-centered leadership from a 500 year old institution that made its way into the corporate towers, and I proved it with science.

Call and Response released on Feb 10 globally and has yet to lose steam. I have more stops to make, from historic venues, to corporations, to book stores and churches and beyond, with orgs booking me clear into 2027.
Highlights:
1) Hugs and signing books at True Lee Missionary Baptist Church in Sunny South Dallas
2) The Experience is the Advantage Women’s Conference with fellow speakers, Richardson, TX
3) Standing with the Director of The Obama Center Library after he shouted out to everyone that this was my work, and promptly placed it in the collection, Chicago, IL.
4) A proud moment presenting Dr. Otis Moss III a copy of Call and Response at Trinity United Christian Church in Chicago, IL. The famous story about Obama and Rev. Jeremiah Wright is in the book.
5) My friend and former colleague opens her historic mansion to host a salon where many others happened in the turn of the century, Bronzeville, Chicago, IL
6) Signing books after speaking at AT&T HQs in Dallas, Tx
7) Signing books after delivering keynote message at the annual Pinkster celebration, a tradition dating back to the 1700s in Kingston, NY
8) delivering that message from the pulpit of the historic Old Dutch Church where sojourner Truth was baptized, Kingston, NY
9) Wall St power house Carla Harris giving me that, “Girl, you bettah preach” look during my book signing the the Upper East Side Barnes & Noble in NY, NY
10) Visiting with my acquiring editor Abby West at HarperCollins in New York, NY.
11) My Pastor and First Lady Bryan & Stephanie Carter celebrate Call and Response during two services at Concord Church in Dallas, Tx
12) Former AT&T colleagues pose for a photo with me at my book signing on my first trip to Chicago, IL at da Book Joint
13 & 14) Pastor Stephen Brown chats during service at Greater Bethlehem.
15) A’Lelia Bundles and I chop@it up at the MLK Library in DC
16 & 17) Chatting it up on Chat & Bother Pod in DC
18) TCU hosts me in FW, TX
19 & 20) Good St. BC & Cynt M
