✨Britney began working with KP Consulting in 2018 as a newcomer to the pageant stage. In 2022, she was 1strunner up in Miss New Hampshire USA, on her first attempt in the system. She attributes winning the title of Miss New Hampshire USA 2023 to the skills and guidance the KP Consulting coaches provided to her over the years.
✨The confidence gained from competing Britney gave her the push to advocate for sexual assault survivor rights. As a survivor herself, she helped pass the Sexual Assault Survivor Bill of Rights in her home state of Rhode Island, she also used her voice and story to help pass a United Nations Resolution Bill that provides all survivors of violence access to justice around the globe.
✨Britney has her Master of Social Work degree and she is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker trained as a mental health therapist. She currently works at Boston Children’s Hospital as a clinical social worker.
✨During her time competing, Britney experienced walking away without a title as well as giving up a title that took years of hard work. She understands the negative thoughts about not being “good enough” after not winning and the feeling of “what now?” after giving up a title. She believes that your sense of self and genuine vulnerability greatly impact how you present yourself on and off the pageant stage.
✨Britney will be utilizing her mental health training and years of pageant experience to help KP Consulting clients feel mentally set up for success. A session with Britney will be a guided conversation focusing on goal setting, how to use the skills you learn in pageantry in your day to day life, how to be vulnerable in your storytelling, and skills to keep yourself grounded before and after a pageant. She is passionate about having open and honest conversation to help women feel prepared for all elements of pageantry and the next chapters of their lives.

It’s always an honor to participate in New York Fashion Week with Rise and Forbes🧡 This isn’t your average show, I walked alongside civil rights leaders, policy advocates, astronauts, designers, CEOs, former Miss USA state title holders, scientists, and change makers. We are all survivors of sexual violence and allies.

Working with Rise has helped me through one of the hardest times of my life. It gave me hope for change and helped me make change for thousands of survivors in RI. And we can’t forget the United Nations and how impactful the question “what were you wearing” can be. Being able to celebrate all of these victories with the biggest hype people I’ve ever met is the highlight of my year❤️

New Hampshire🧡

Serving this state has been one of the greatest joys of my life. My journey in pageantry has not been an easy one, but it had been the most rewarding. Pageants for me have always been a way to challenge myself. The Miss USA organization was my scariest challenge. I never thought I was enough. Miss NH USA pushed me to be the best version of myself. I have been able to take the skills I learned into my career as a therapist and in my advocacy work. Pageantry has allowed me to show my strength on the Miss USA stage.

My why for being Miss NH USA was to normalize my experience as a sexual assault survivor. Following my assault in 2019, I felt alone. I thought I was the only one who had experienced what I experienced. My healing journey was not an easy road and it took me a year to feel like I could step on a pageant stage again. In that time, I slowly found the strength to share my story. I talked about the injustices I faced with our judicial system and the injustices many other survivors have to battle. I passed laws and advocated in front of United Nations representatives. I am not a victim, I am a survivor. My goal was to show other survivors that you are more than what happened to you. You are not alone.
I wanted my legacy to be that I made a space for survivors to be heard and I’m proud to say that I was able to do that.

Hey Harry, thanks for being part of One Direction where I met Meghan at your concert in 2014 which then lead to us living together in room 227 at Emmanuel freshman year. Another successful year at the Rise Fashion show, this year at the New York Stock Exchange🧡
The estimated lifetime cost to sexual assault survivors in the US is $122,000. For me, it cost me two hospital copays, over $3000 in therapy costs over one year, and weeks of time off from work while I worked to heal from an assault that never should have happened. This year’s show highlighted the high cost that comes with being a survivor and that no dream is too big to chase. Walking alongside other survivors who advocate for survivor rights brings me so much joy and that is how we will continue to fight for every survivor. I am forever grateful for @risenow.us and @amandangocnguyen for bringing us all together to celebrate another incredible year🧡 taken in New York Stock Exchange by @britneyylane

Everyone knows I am a professional yapper so I yapped my way to an international conference. I had the privilege of speaking at the World Congress of Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology about the importance of social work and psychosocial support and in pediatric gynecology practice.
