68 days waiting. Now she’s underweight, not feeling well, and running out of time.

Marcy is a 4-year-old Cane Corso mix weighing only about 70 pounds. She urgently needs an exit plan and veterinary care before the shelter decides to euthanize her for medical reasons. We cannot wait for a final deadline to fight for her.

This sweet girl knows sit and shake—with both paws. She enjoys belly rubs and walks well on a leash. She did okay during her temperament test with a neutered male pit bull; slow introductions to other dogs are recommended.

She needs one person—the right person—to see her and choose her. An adopter or a committed foster with a reputable rescue could give her the chance she desperately needs.

SLY IS PAST HIS FINAL DEADLINE.

This big beautiful boy has been sitting at Moreno Valley Animal Shelter since JULY 11…nearly 3 months. 😞

There is no more time to wait for someone to eventually notice him. He needs a RESCUE NOW — and to attract one, we desperately need a committed FOSTER and PLEDGES.

He has watched people walk past his kennel for months, yet he is still standing at those bars hoping someone will stop for him.

And Sly has SO MUCH going for him:
* About 3 years old
* 72 lbs & neutered
* Knows sit and shake
* Appears potty trained
* Loves being petted
* Described as a gentle big boy
* Did well on his temperament test with another neutered male dog

Lately, she’s all we can think about.

At 14.5 years old, we know the time we have left is just a sliver of the time we’ve spent together.

A recent CT scan didn’t give us the answers we were hoping for. One of her adrenal glands is enlarged, but they couldn’t determine whether it’s a tumor or something else. A biopsy carried too much risk and could make things worse, so that wasn’t an option.

The one piece of comfort we do have is that it hasn’t spread.

Our vet is continuing to look into other testing options. We’ve been told that if it isn’t cancerous, she will likely develop Cushing’s disease.

Surgery isn’t something we’re willing to put her through. It’s too risky.

So for now, as painful as it is, we wait. We love her harder. We hold her closer. And we soak up every single second, hoping for the very best.

At approximately 4 years old, Sidney is described as a calm, gentle girl who is hesitant with new experiences but curious about friendship. Slow introductions and familiar routines help her feel comfortable. She needs someone patient enough to let trust grow at her pace, without rushing affection she isn’t ready for.

She sits curled up in her kennel shaking, unsure who she can trust. When someone approaches, she retreats—but when a staff member sat quietly with her, Sidney came over and gently accepted treats from their hand. Such a small step, but for a frightened dog, it matters.

Sidney needs to leave with an approved rescue, foster, or adopter by October 20th, or she may be euthanized.

She needs a chance to trade that kennel for a quiet place to decompress, a predictable routine, and someone who keeps showing up with kindness.

I don’t have thousands of followers, but I’m begging whoever sees this to PLEASE share Cooper. Maybe this little account can reach the ONE person who can save his life. 🙏

💙 Cooper is only 3 years old, 63 pounds, and has the most beautiful, infectious smile.

He had a family for an entire year. Then his family adopted another dog, and when the two didn’t get along, Cooper was returned to the shelter. 💔

Now Cooper is recommended as an ONLY DOG. But here’s what breaks my heart…

🐾 At the shelter, Cooper has shown NO reactivity toward other dogs, whether in his kennel or in the outdoor runs!

This doesn’t guarantee he can live with another dog, and his previous experience shouldn’t be ignored. But it DOES mean he deserves to be seen as more than a label. 🥺

Cooper is affectionate, playful, treat-motivated, knows “sit,” and is likely potty trained. He LOVES chasing toys and spending time with people.

Yesterday, not ONE person came to meet him. NOT ONE. 😭

And now his life comes down to a few precious hours.

🙏 WE DESPERATELY NEED A FOSTER OR A COMMITTED ADOPTER!

Ideally, someone without other dogs who can give Cooper the stability, patience, and love he deserves. A rescue able to take him with a foster could also be his lifeline.

Please don’t let his story end in a shelter.

He has already lost one family. He shouldn’t have to lose his life, too. 💔

She was found with her sister Silver A5799228 near 20400 S. Budlong Avenue

She was easy to leash, but darted out of the kennel eagerly. She pulled moderately on leash while bypassing the other kennels, and was easy to collar. In the catch pen, her body was neutral, her eyes were soft, and her tail was neutral. She entered the yard, and exchanged appropriate greetings with the other dogs. She immediately became over-reactive when one of the dogs greeted her in a pushy manner. She was easy to correct. She roamed the yard, and became pushy with the other dogs when she approached them. She was barrier reactive when a new dog entered the catch pen, and had to be moved to the side yard before the other dog entered the main yard. She spent some time in the side yard to decompress before she was allowed to enter the yard again. She greeted the other dogs in a pushy manner, but was able to coexist with no significant issues. She solicited petting from the handlers. Garnet is tolerant of the other dogs, has a medium energy level, and does not have a playstyle at this time.

💜 $50 public adoptions this week during event (incl spay, rabies, M/C)💜

For 3 months, she’s been waiting. She’s passed both her initial & final deadlines yet not one inquiry. She shared a kennel with her best friend (or sister?) for 2 months who she arrived with & who found a home. The staff has such positive things to say about this girl, yet she’s gone unnoticed & passed over.

She’s losing hope. She’s out of time. She’s past all deadlines.

But you can change her story on Tuesday when the Shelter reopens. Right now, in this moment, she needs you.

SHELTER PLEA:
Her deadlines have come & gone, & heartbreakingly, this gentle giant is still waiting. No adopter. No rescue commitment. Not a single expression of interest in the sweet girl who has so much love left to give. Kasha has a soft heart, a shy side & the sweetest, wiggliest personality once she feels safe. This beautiful girl has so much going for her, yet somehow, no one has come forward. She is now depressed in her kennel & won’t even get up for treats.

There are some dogs who walk into your life & immediately demand to be noticed. Then there are dogs like Kasha #A552463, sweet, wiggly, a little shy at first, & quietly hoping someone will take the time to discover just how wonderful she is. She is a 4-yr-old, 85 lb, spayed female Mastiff with plenty of love to give. She may need a moment when meeting new people, but a few cookies are all it takes to win her over. Once she feels comfortable, her personality comes shining through, complete with happy wiggles & the unmistakable joy of a dog who simply wants to be loved.

This sweet senior is Tilly! She’s a 10 year old Boston terrier mix.

Tilly has been waiting at the shelter since April, with hardly any interest. For being 10 years old she’s got so much spunk to her.
She loves running around and playing in the yard. She does have some skin issues but with treatment and weekly medicated baths it seems to be improving.

Tilly is dog friendly and kid friendly! Please come take this sweet senior gal home🩷

Twinkie and Maxwell are scheduled to die at 8 am on Sunday 10/18 unless a foster or adopter steps up tonight. Their deadline has passed. This is their last chance to be noticed and make it out alive.

Twinkie #A2292863 is only 4. He arrived covered in wounds, still wearing his owner’s collar and tag. But no one showed up. Volunteers describe an affectionate, smart boy who is eager to bond.

Maxwell #A2284407 is just 1. His family surrendered him when they moved. He is still a goofy puppy who loves toys,splashing in the pool, and being with people.

Two young lives. Two boys who were failed by their owner. Both would thrive in a caring home without other dogs, where they can learn and decompress.

If you can help, do not wait until the shelter opens at 11 am. Arrive at 8 am when staff gets there. Twinkie and Maxwell could be euthanized before the doors open.

Seven days. Zero interest. And sweet Francis is still reaching through the bars, hoping someone will stop for him.

This handsome, 3-year-old boy has so much love to give. His shelter bio describes a social butterfly who loves introducing himself to anyone nearby. He’s excited to make friends without being overwhelming, happily accepts snacks and attention, and is always ready to turn a walk into an adventure.

Francis has been at risk of euthanasia since 10/14 and can be added to the euthanasia list any day. He urgently needs a COMMITTED foster or adopter.

Please don’t wait for his name to appear on a deadline list before deciding he matters. He matters right now. This sweet boy deserves someone who sees him and follows through.

At just 2 years old, Blue should have years of grass rolls, happy zoomies, and “good boy!” celebrations ahead of him. Instead, he could be euthanized tomorrow, 10/18, if a committed foster or adopter doesn’t step up with a solid plan by 4:30 p.m. CT.

This gorgeous boy has already been waiting 11 days. We cannot let his story end here.

Blue’s bio describes a playful, affectionate boy who LOVES encouragement. He sits when asked, comes when called, and lights up when you let him know he’s done well. Once comfortable, he’s ready to show off his silly dance moves, roll in the grass, and soak up back scratches.

The shelter overwhelms him, and he can bark and react defensively when he’s unsure of someone. He needs patience and time to build trust. But his evaluation also documents improvement—and how, once he became comfortable in the yard, he greeted handlers, accepted pets, and played with them with a loose, wiggly body and wagging tail.

Blue urgently needs someone who will commit to him, help him settle in, and give him a future beyond these kennel walls.
