Meet Dr. Brittany Gaston Founder/CEO of GPSPT. Dr. Gaston originally from Detroit, now residing in Atlanta, GA, she pursued her undergraduate degree at Florida A&M University in Allied Health/Pre-PT and then went on to receive her doctorate of physical therapy at Howard University.

Dr. Gaston knew she wanted to be a physical therapist from being a former athlete and rupturing her Achilles during a softball game in 2012. The surgery and recovery process took 8 months. It was at this time she chose physical therapy as a career goal. While she has a love for treating all patients, she has a passion for treating adolescent athletes to adults.

Dr. Gaston began treating in 2021 and started her own business in October 2023 coining it “GPSPT” which stands for Gaston Sports and Performance Physical Therapy. The company name is derived from every individual having a destination or journey during their recovery process hence the tagline “where your destination to recovery awaits you”. Here at GPSPT we offer recovery services such as cupping, dry needling, and stretching and rehabilitation plans for more involved injuries. At GPS PT we strive to create experiences for each individual that is unforgettable to share with others abt their journey to recovery. Cheers to practicing 5yrs as a Doctor of Physical Therapy 🥂. This 5yr journey has been short of easy from getting out of PT school to navigating diff jobs and managing myself and others managing me, but I can honestly say I love what I do. The most beautiful thing that came out of this was creating my own business @gps_pt and I’ve had some amazing moments and I’m excited to see how I can expand my business and other ventures in the near future. I can say 2025 I had an absolute ball ☺️. 2025 began with me beginning rehab for arm and slowly getting back to work which was challenging. I began to regain a sense of myself by working and getting back into my business and doing things I love. I started getting back into the gym, traveling, and just overall having fun. Of course there were some bumps in the road but the main thing I was proud of myself for was standing up for myself in moments I would’ve shyed away from or just “let it go”. I wrapped up 2025 with a feature in an article to highlight my business and I am so excited for 2026 and the opportunities it’ll award me. Last year to the date I was involved in a pretty bad car accident and it changed my life forever. I am just thankful that I’m still here and I’m back to doing the things that I love. Special thanks to my surgeon Dr. Mahoney at Ortho Atlanta Snellville he was the absolute best and had great bed side manner. Special thanks to @renascencevnm for everything from my referral to Dr. Mahoney, and being my PT I really wouldn’t be back to working out, working, and doing the simple things, please check her out ❤️❤️❤️. I thank God every day for keeping me and I am so glad I had a good team and support system to get me through everything. I am excited for my next chapter as I close out 2025 and enter 2026 🥂

Homecoming dump 🧡💚:
To the college of love and charity this has been one of the best HC to date and you owe me absolutely nothing. I had been away from the hill for abt 9yrs which is wayyy too long. I had so much fun reconnecting with ppl and just having pure fun. FAMU will always have a place in my heart and thank you for making me the woman I am today. And s/o to the class of 2010 for an amazing time on the hill it was a great intro back on the hill until next time ✌🏽.

I pray this yr unlocks so many opportunities and continues to bless me 10x more than this yr. 32 was a yr of growth with some failures but it taught me so many life lessons and ways to “figure it out” and it made me stronger and wiser.
