Never in a million years did I imagine we’d be sharing that our new baby has a rare, life threatening, life shortening disease.

But we are. 💔

This is a part of Elken’s story. 🤍

If you want to grab a shirt to support Elken and all others with CF, the link is in my bio ✨🙂

—-

Cystic fibrosis is a progressive, genetic disease that affects the lungs, pancreas, and other organs. People with CF have inherited two copies of the defective CF gene — one copy from each parent. Both parents must have at least one copy of the defective gene. The parent is called a carrier. Children of parents who are carriers have a 1 in 4 (25%) chance of having CF. The defective CF gene contains a slight abnormality called a mutation. In CF, the body makes abnormal CFTR protein or none at all. It causes changes in the electrolyte transport system causing cells to absorb too much sodium and water. Without normal CFTR protein and electrolyte transport, the cells lining the pathways inside some organs make thick, sticky mucus rather than the normal thin, watery kind. Thick mucus can trap bacteria in the lungs, leading to infection, inflammation, and breathing problems. Mucus also can block the path where digestive enzymes flow between the pancreas and the intestines. This makes it hard for them to digest food and get the vitamins and nutrients they need from it. Thick mucus can also affect the liver, the sweat glands, and the reproductive organs.

✨ just a little peek at 2022’s best gift. if we only knew what would unfold in the days + weeks after… gearing up to share more in 2023 ✨

I’m immensely grateful for my husband & the four women who made up my birth team. The feminine energy + support is something I majorly under appreciated before this experience… truly I felt held, nourished, empowered, and heard.

10/10 recommend 🤍

Q4 COMEBACK CHRONICLES: DAY ONE ✈️🪩

I genuinely thought I’d never pack a suitcase for a trip like this again.

13 years ago, I was a nurse working 12-hour shifts, building my first business from our little one-bedroom apartment in San Diego on a laptop that wouldn’t charge.

I had NO idea what those next 13 years would hold.

A life changing path to earning income online, yes… but, also…. Friendships that became family. Experiences I never dreamed of. And some really hard lessons I never saw coming.

I wouldn’t trade a single teeny tiny bit of it.

Because I believe God was using ALL of it to prepare me for the gift He’s laid in front of me now. 🥹

This weekend is the launch pad for a whole new decade.

And this time, I’m walking into it with experience, wisdom I earned the hard way, and the most incredible, set-apart community of people I’m being mentored by, building alongside, and blessed to mentor!

I genuinely believe the next decade will be even better than the last.

And YES, am I SO grateful God wasn’t finished writing this story. 🤎✨

k, celebrate the little things, like the DAY ONE’s. And I guess ginger ale, Texas longhorns, and a lot of beautiful adult friendships 🫶🏼

• if you’re someone who is looking for ways to earn income from home, want to build something meaningful without sacrificing the family you’re building it for 👇🏼

Please tell me I’m not the only one who has lived through approximately 47 different definitions of “healthy.”

Because I have HAD. SOME. ERAS.

100-calorie-pack queen.
Nutrition prison.
Never miss a workout.
Go harder. Be more disciplined. Do more.

And some of you have been here long enough to have lived through a few of those with me.

I still love discipline. I still like doing hard things. I’m keeping a lot of her.

But at this point, I want my healthy habits to make my actual life better... not become my whole personality.

I want strong.
Energy.
Real food.
Sleep.
Muscle.
Longevity.

Taking care of what’s happening on the inside too.
And candy…. like, be serious.

But… this is officially day 1 of documenting what taking REALLY good care of myself looks like now. 🤍

Not a challenge. No dramatic reset. … but yes to figuring out what’s actually worth keeping.

Okay, now tell me... which “healthy era” have you lived through? Let’s giggle. 😂👇🏼 by @brittanylegette

When starting over feels like a warm hug 🤍

I thought losing what I spent 11 years building meant that eventually, I’d have to start all over again.

Turns out, I’m not rebuilding with nothing.

I’m rebuilding with every lesson, mistake, skill, relationship, boundary, gut check + hard-earned piece of wisdom the last 13 years gave me.

And one of my favorite parts of this chapter is that the women starting with me get the benefit of lessons it took me YEARS to learn the hard way. 🥹

There’s something really special about getting another shot at something you love… but getting to do it wiser this time.

With better people.
Better systems.
Higher standards.

And a whole lot more clarity about what actually matters.
Maybe starting over isn’t always going backwards.
Sometimes you get to start again with everything the last chapter taught you. 🤍

And apparently…
I really missed this version of me. 🥹

ok, here’s the story: I really thought I was just doing a friend a favor. 😂

When she asked me to watch a business overview earlier this summer, I wasn’t looking for something new.

Like... at all.

I had spent 11+ years building one company. I’d built teams, made great income, watched that chapter change in ways I never expected, and then spent the next couple of years testing and building my skills in different versions of online business.

But after everything I’d been through [+ a child who needed my mental focus for his wellbeing], I got to this place where I was pretty protective of my time, my reputation and honestly... what I put my hope in.

But this friend and I had done business alongside each other for more than a decade. I trusted her. I respected the way she did business. And when she said, “Will you just look at this?” I said alright.

So I watched the overview fully expecting to tell her, “This looks great! I’m happy for you!”

Except somewhere along the way I started listening a little closer.

Wait.
Who are these people?
How early is this?
They’re doing WHAT differently?

And by the end I remember thinking...
Uh oh. [lol]

I wasn’t looking for another business.
But I had also spent enough years in this industry to recognize when something deserved a second look.

And this one did.

So I kept asking questions.

I looked at the products, picked them apart.
I studied the people. The financial set up. The timing. The things I loved about my old business and the things I never wanted to experience again.

And eventually I had to admit:
I wanted to build this.

I think I’d finally been through enough to know exactly what would make starting over ‘worth it’.

And here we are. [beyond impressed, and blown away by how much better it is on the other side of ‘yes’!]

And if I’ve already reached out to you about this - it’s because I love or respect you enough to see how this could be an amazing added income stream for you and your family. It’s the truest form of a compliment to WANT to do business with someone. ✨

elken’s first day on the ice! 🧊

we’ve all been preparing for this day but unsure what to expect… from our favorite spicy 3 year old.

we all watched from opposite sides of the rink as he experienced a full range of emotions 🤭 but ultimately, he stayed on the ice, dropped the skater aide, got back up on his own countless times, and worked through the tears as he asked the coach:

WHY WE DOING THIS ALL DAY????

Full of crocodile tears while coming off the ice to me, he made us all laugh while we fed him bribe reward candy and told him how proud we all were of him and he told us excitedly that HE WILL NEVER DO SNOWBALLS AGAIN…

So, that was fun! 🤩

We are so proud of him though and I think he’ll come around 🤭 especially if there is candy involved. by @brittanylegette
