I don’t want to carry the same patterns into a new season and call it growth.

I’m learning that real growth takes honesty, self-reflection, and a community that loves me enough to hold me accountable. And yes, prayer matters—but so does doing the work, getting support, and being willing to hear how our actions affect others.

The hard part? Asking for honest feedback and staying open when it comes. So if you’re in a season of growth too, take it one step at a time—and give yourself room to process.

I had to learn this one by force: the routines that keep you grounded are worth protecting.

I kept saying yes until I ran out of capacity. Loving people and wanting to help doesn’t mean you have to abandon the habits and boundaries that support your mental health. Adjust your routine when you need to but don’t erase what helps you feel steady.

When life is lifing and it feels like an octopus brought all its friends to fight you, pause before you react. 🐙

Try the STOP method:

S — Stop and take a breath
T — Take it to God
O — Observe your thoughts and check them against Scripture
P — Proceed with obedience

This is one way I remind myself that, even in the middle of turmoil, God gives me peace and helps me choose my next step. Save this for a moment when you need it. 🤍

I’ve spent a lot of time asking God to use me while simultaneously hiding the thing He gave me to use.

My voice.
My words.
My story.

This is part of me opening my hand.

Not because I’m no longer afraid to be seen, but because I’m learning to trust God with the gift He gave me.

I told God I wanted His will… but my hand was still closed. ✊🏾

I wanted Him to take it, but also… give me two more seconds. 😂

And I’m learning that sometimes surrender isn’t about not knowing what God said. We heard Him clearly. The hard part is opening our hand and trusting Him enough to actually let go.

The relationship.
The plan.
The habit.
The version of life we thought we needed.
The thing that feels familiar, comfortable, and warm.

Sometimes God is saying, “Just open your hand.”

So this is the question I’m sitting with, and maybe you need it too:

This presence I carry didn’t come easy.

Some days it feels heavy.
Some days it feels effortless.
But either way, I know God never asked me to carry it alone.

He covers me.
He carries what I cannot.
And He reminds me that grace can still look this good. ✨
