Under Construction: Following God’s Blueprint

Focal Scriptures: Luke 14:28–30; Nehemiah 2:11–18; Genesis 6:22; Psalm 127:1; 2 Corinthians 5:17 (ESV)

Every construction project requires a blueprint, preparation, resources, and a willingness to count the cost. Luke 14:28 reminds us of the importance of counting the cost before we begin building. Whether God is calling us to start something new, rebuild what has been broken, or step into a new season, we must seek His direction and follow His instructions. Noah demonstrated obedience by building the ark according to God’s commands, while Nehemiah prayed, surveyed the land, and developed a plan before rebuilding Jerusalem’s walls. Sometimes we want to jump right into construction, but God is calling us to prepare, pray, gather the right people, and trust His timing. We must remember that God is the Master Builder, and we are simply vessels He uses to accomplish His purpose.

Construction is not always about building something physical; sometimes God is constructing something new within us. 2 Corinthians 5:17 reminds us that anyone in Christ is a new creation. There are times when God must clear the land, remove old habits, strengthen our foundation, and prepare us for what is ahead. We must be willing to surrender to His process, even when we don’t fully understand it. God provides wisdom, direction, and the resources needed to fulfill His purpose as we walk in obedience and faith. Psalm 127:1 reminds us, “Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain.” So don’t rush the construction process. Count the cost, follow God’s blueprint, trust His provision, and remain faithful. We are all under construction, but the question is: Are we allowing God to be the Master Builder?

~Day 31- “Move”~

God often and blesses what we are willing to put in some motion through faith, obedience, diligence, and perseverance. If God has called us to do something, then we have to begin!

We can’t just sit back and rest on our laurels, waiting for things to happen.

We have to move!

Too many Christians are not doing the things they know God has called them to do simply because they are unwilling to move.

They are like runners on the starting line of a race. That announcement begins, “Runners. Take your mark” … “Get Set”… “Get Set”….. Get Set!!!

At some point, the call to “GO” has to occur.

let’s be clear, though, we are not saying that we shouldn’t prepare, strategize, and methodically plan out how we will go about doing the things that has called us to do before we begin; but what we are saying is that once the plans have been made at some point we have to execute!

We must move!’

Move

~*~ DESTINATION ~*~

“We can make all the plans we want, but God determines our steps and provides the destination. We must position ourselves and surrender so we can move with Him.

When we allow God to be in everything we do; He will put us in the “Rest Spot” at the right time. Do not be weary in where you are going because God has the right destination in mind. Believe in Him and He will take you there.”
