It has been a minute (honestly years) since I have done any kind of Friday Introduction, so I would love to take a moment to say hello and share a bit more about me here!

👋🏽 my name is Britt and I’m a mama to four precious children and wife to Joel. We are both from Louisiana (Nola and Baton Rouge) but have been in Birmingham for 12 years, it’s home now 🥰 When my husband started medical school 12 yrs ago, I found a slice of the Internet and began to blog to keep me occupied while he studied. It completely unfolded from there. From blogspot to Instagram.

This space was always a creative outlet that followed our lives as newlyweds, new parents, completion of medical training, and to where we are now. I took time off here and there to focus on being a new mom, cope with my grief, and raise our children as my husband became busier in his season of medical training. This space has always existed because of all of you here today. To the ones who never left because I didn’t put out content or give life updates for months on end. I don’t know how I got so lucky. There are days I want to throw the towel in and then remember all I have. The ones that have been here since the day I shared I was pregnant with Scarlett. To the ones who just found me and appreciate what I share and support this little outlet. It humbles me to get to show up here and do/share what I love and feel supported when I do.

I have four children who keep me very busy and its just Joel and I 🫶🏽 Birmingham will never be New Orleans and vice versa. We love our life here and love the friends we’ve made that we feel are like family.

We bought our 100 yr old home almost 3 years ago and have been restoring our Georgian colonial since. We will be restoring her for a long time, so come along for this ride with me! I have completely leaned into antiques and the aesthetic of #grannychic given our historic home. I absolutely love estate sales, antique stores, and scoring finds on FB marketplace!

When not wrangling my four children and being their Uber driver, you’ll find me gardening, planning our next trip, at an estate sale, or taking a nap!

Santorini 🇬🇷 Itinerary

Fira + Pyrgos + Oía

Day 1: Breakfast at Lukumum. Taxi to Pyrgos from Fira. Climb to the top of Castelli. Explore old churches & village. Lunch at Rita Wine Bar. Continue shopping & exploring. Walk to Santo Winery. Dinner and sunset at Santo Winery.

Day2: Taxi to Oía from Fira. Walk around and explore. Shop. Lunch at Thalami. See blue domes (do not wait in crazy line for pics). See Oía Castle Ruins. Walk a little ways (not all the way down) to Ammoudi Bay. Dinner at Emfasis. Taxi back to Fira.
Day 3: enjoy the morning in Fira taking in Caldera. Casual morning. Take sea jet to Crete!

squeezed back into my “getaway dress” and Joel, his tie leaving our wedding 🤍 15 years of doing life with my person!

Fifteen years isn’t just a celebration of where we’ve been…it’s a reminder that we’re still writing our story. I have so much hope for the chapters ahead.
