✷ bits of life, thoughtful style, travel diaries, always antiquing & restoring our 1920s home ✷

Labor Day Weekend in NYC is always a highlight, especially with the excitement of the US Open. This year I was fortunate to help 8 groups with their LDW plans.

While a selfie with your favorite player isn’t guaranteed, I can provide you with inside scoop on where they typically stay—complete with complimentary breakfast, resort credits, and even potential room upgrades. (which we scored this year even on a holiday weekend)

I loved assisting clients in booking luxury hotels, securing those hard-to-get dinner reservations, arranging rides around the city, and navigating all the logistics of the US Open.

So for your next trip, let @virginiamooretravel elevate your travel experience!

BAYBALA HAS BEEN SCOUTED | Inspired by vintage textiles and heirloom quality details, every @shopbaybala collection leans into whimsical delights while staying true to founder, Katie Gaston’s passion of thoughtful design and easy-to-wear silhouettes for both women and children!

When scouting for Volume 7, we were instantly drawn to Baybala for not only their beautiful designs, but also their love for all things local! For their latest spring shoot, Katie chose @slimspizzeria in Crestline Village as her backdrop and used models, photographers, and other crew members who are all local to Birmingham! We are so grateful for their support of small businesses here and excited to have them join us for Volume 7!

For those who live here in Birmingham, be sure to stop by @shopalkmy for their pop-up tomorrow (03/14) from 10-7pm. Swipe for all the details and be sure to check out the full collection online at baybala.com✨

We’ve been back a week and I still catch myself giggling at the million little moments we had last weekend.
.
I can’t tell you how badly I needed to laugh and be lazy and be just a girl with her friends.
.
These women came into my life when I thought I was done opening my heart to new friends but they have helped me grow and loved me in a way that is so special and precious. Raising our kids together is such a beautiful bond that I never expected. Each one of them brings out a unique part of my personality which I think is the coolest part of the whole thing.
.
As hard a season as I’ve had to walk through in the last year, last weekend felt like a ray of sunshine and a promise that the goofy, lighter me is still in there. And I can’t thank y’all enough for loving me in my hard days and for bringing a smile back to my heart.

Lots of exciting changes to #ourcrepemyrtlequarters this week! A bathroom renovation, bunk bed install, table and chair swaps, desk swaps... and shall we rock the boat even more and move Shep out of the closet nursery while we’re at it? 🤪 When you live in a tiny house— change is just our norm. Constantly re arranging furniture to growing kiddos, etc. It’s been fun though! I’ve got lots of home content coming your way!
