Swim, bike, run… but are you making time for strength? 💪🏊‍♀️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️

It’s often the first session we drop when life gets busy. We squeeze in another ride or run, but strength deserves a place in the week too.

And it’s about more than strong legs. Our hips, calves, back, shoulders and core all have a job to do across three sports.

You don’t need hours in the gym. Two manageable sessions a week, with good technique and gradually increasing resistance, are a great place to start.

As a coach, I want strength to be part of my athletes’ regular training—not something they only think about when something starts hurting.

Be honest… is strength the session you tend to skip? 👇 #strenghttraining #triathlontraining #swimbikerun #triathloncoach by @brittwelander

A little throwback to the Coogee Island Swim last year. 🌊
Missing the ocean, the racing and that feeling of doing what I love.
Recovery is taking longer than I’d like, but I’ll get there. One day at a time #athlete #recovery #onedayatatime #injuries #roka by @brittwelander

My catch-ups look a little different these days ❤️

Since my accident, walks with friends have become my new way of getting out and spending time together. I miss swimming, cycling and running with everyone, but these moments mean so much.

My hip is also really painful, which makes even walking hard. It’s frustrating, and I’m still learning to adjust to this slower pace.

Thank you to everyone who has made time for a walk, a coffee or a chat—and for taking it at my pace. Your company makes the hard days a little easier ❤️#frienship #recovery #brokenbones #hippain by @brittwelander

Sometimes having something to work towards is just what you need 💪

Your first 5km, an ocean swim, a triathlon or simply feeling stronger—it doesn’t have to be a huge event. Just a goal that means something to YOU.

At any age, those little steps and improvements are worth celebrating.

What’s something you’ve always wanted to have a go at? Let me know below or send me a message—I’d love to help you get started 😊#fitnessatanyage #goals #nextchallenge #everystepcounts by @brittwelander

$On 19 September, a bike ride ended with seven broken ribs - some in multiple places, a fractured collarbone and shoulder blade, a partially collapsed lung and six days in hospital. More than a month later, I’m still in pain and working through recovery. It has affected my work, my training and the everyday things I used to take for granted. Looking at my damaged helmet is confronting. I can’t know exactly what would have happened without it, but I’m so grateful I was wearing it. Please wear your helmet, even for a short ride. Make sure it fits properly and fasten the strap. Every ride. Every time. 🤍 #bikeaccident #wearahelmet #trek #injuryprevention #scodyaus by @brittwelander$

A great race from Francisco at Ironman 70.3 Port Macquarie 👏

He finished in 5:35:57, placing 18th in M45–49 after a really solid day across all three disciplines.

This race was an important part of the build towards his full Ironman, so it was great to see the training come together and get another strong race under the belt.

Plenty to be proud of, and plenty to build on from here.

Well done Francisco — next stop, Ironman. 💪🏊‍♂️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️#goals #triathloncoach #raceday #ironman by @brittwelander

Such a lovely morning at Homebush cheering on these three at their first @triathlonpink 💗🏊‍♀️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️

It’s been a pleasure helping you prepare, watching your confidence grow and seeing you put that training into practice today.

Trying something new takes courage, and I hope you’re all as proud of yourselves as I am of you. One very proud coach today! 🥰👏 #raceday #womenintriathlon #proudcoach #beginnertriathlete by @brittwelander

Recovery is definitely testing my patience. ❤️

I’m still feeling so tired, still in a lot of pain, and some days I wonder when I’ll start feeling like myself again.

Going from being constantly active to having to slow down has been harder than I imagined.

But yesterday’s walk reminded me how lucky I am to live somewhere so beautiful and to appreciate the little things along the way.

Healing takes time, and I’m slowly learning that not every day has to be about progress. Sometimes just getting through the day is enough. 💙🌊

One day at a time.

🏊‍♀️🚴‍♀️🏃‍♀️ FROM YOUR FIRST TRIATHLON TO YOUR NEXT IRONMAN!

A little introduction for those who don’t know me! 😊

I’m Britt, a qualified Triathlon Australia coach, personal trainer and passionate triathlete.

Over the years, I’ve been fortunate enough to race around the world, stand on Ironman podiums and experience some incredible finish lines.

But what I love just as much as racing is helping others achieve their own goals. 💙

Whether you’re preparing for your very first triathlon, stepping up to a 70.3 or taking on a full Ironman, I believe everyone deserves a training plan that works for them.

Through Custom Coaching, I offer personalised training programs via TrainingPeaks, ongoing support and guidance, with training designed around your lifestyle, ability and ambitions.

For me, coaching isn’t just about times and results. It’s about building confidence, enjoying the journey and helping people achieve things they once thought were impossible.

✨ I’m currently welcoming new athletes for online coaching!

Have a race or goal in mind? I’d love to help you get there.
