Before the riders arrive, the real work begins.

Leh. 3,500 metres.
The bikes are here. The team is here. And Himalayan Odyssey 2026 is about to begin.

But before we hand over a single key, every motorcycle gets our attention.

Tyres. Brakes. Chains. Fluids. Controls. Fasteners. Test rides. One bike at a time, our team goes through the fleet to make sure everything is ready for the journey ahead.

Because when you’re heading deep into the Himalayas, preparation isn’t something you compromise on.

Soon our riders will arrive in Leh from across the world.

For now, it’s just our team, the machines, and the final checks.

Day 8
A ride to Sach Pass, or a little time to slow down
 Himalayan Odyssey 2026 | Sural Bhatori

Today, the group split into two. A few of us chose to ride from Sural Bhatori to Sach Pass and back, while most took it easy with some rest and a walk around the meadows.
For those heading to Sach Pass, the day brought winding mountain tracks, waterfalls and huge rock walls towering over the bikes. A stop at the pass for a few pictures together, then it was time to turn back towards Sural Bhatori.
For everyone staying behind, it was a chance to put the riding gear aside, stretch the legs and enjoy the surroundings without needing to be anywhere in particular. After several days on the road, a quiet day in the meadows was very welcome.
Back together at camp, we gathered around the fire with different stories from the same day. Some had been up to Sach Pass; others were quite happy with their decision to have a rest.

DAY 7 – PART 2 |

JISPA → SURAL BHATORI

The second half of the day was when things started getting interesting.

The roads got narrower, the traffic almost disappeared and we found ourselves riding deeper into the mountains towards Pangi Valley.

Somewhere along the way we pulled over for a much-needed refreshment break. Bikes parked, helmets off, something to eat and drink and, as always, plenty of laughs about the ride so far. ☕😄

Then it was back on the bikes.

As we turned towards Sural Valley, the scenery just kept getting better. Waterfalls coming down the mountains, the river running beside us and hardly another vehicle around.

By this point nobody was thinking about how many kilometres were left. We were just enjoying the ride.

And finally… Sural Bhatori. ❤️

After a full day on the motorcycles, it felt pretty special to park the bikes in this tiny village surrounded by huge Himalayan mountains.

Tired? Definitely.

Dusty? Absolutely.

Would we do it all again tomorrow? Of course. 😄

ZANSKAR → JISPA 🏍️🏔️
Via the mighty Gonbo Rangjon.

We left Zanskar behind and pointed the bikes towards Jispa — but this was definitely not just another transfer day.

Remote tracks, river crossings, huge valleys and kilometre after kilometre with barely another soul around.

And then came Gonbo Rangjon.

Rising almost unreal from the middle of the valley, it’s one of those places where everyone naturally stops, switches off the engines and just looks around.

A quick break, a few photos, and then back on the bikes for the long ride towards Jispa.

Tired by the end? Absolutely.
Would we ride it all over again tomorrow? Absolutely. ❤️

DAY 7 — PART 1
JISPA → SURAL BHATORI

Another morning in the Himalayas, another road taking us somewhere special.

We rolled out of Jispa and started making our way towards Sural Bhatori, leaving the familiar Manali–Leh route behind and gradually heading towards the much quieter landscapes of Pangi Valley.

The further we rode, the better it got — fewer vehicles, smaller villages, changing landscapes and that feeling of being properly away from everything.

We stopped along the way for a quick break, stretched our legs, grabbed some refreshments and then got back on the bikes.

No rush today. Just a good group, good roads and a long ride into one of the more remote corners of Himachal.

And we were only halfway there…

המסלול החדש והמרתק הזה מחבר בין מוסטנג התחתון לאורך נהר קאלי גנדקי, למנאנג שבעמק מרסיאנגדי, באזור האנאפורנה.

מנאנג היא כפר הררי בגובה כ-3,500 מטר, מהתחנות המוכרות בסובב אנאפורנה.

בדרך אליה - יערות אורנים ומטעי תפוחים מתחלפים בעמק פתוח, מדרונות סלעיים ופסגות מושלגות.

אנאפורנה III, גנגפורנה והאגם הקרחוני שלמרגלותיה מעצבים את הנוף; בתי האבן ומנזר בראגה הסמוך מוסיפים היכרות עם התרבות הבודהיסטית המקומית.

מוסטנג התחתון משתרע בעמק קאלי גנדקי, בין רכסי האנאפורנה והדהאולגירי.
צפונה, הנוף נעשה חשוף וצחיח יותר. מרפה (Marpha) היפהפיה המוכרת במטעי התפוחים שלה, וסמטאות קאגבני מציגות פנים נוספות של החיים בהרים.

שני העמקים משלבים נופים שונים ותרבות מקומית במסע אחד.

Lower Mustang & Manang — Two Himalayan Regions 🏔️
The route connects Lower Mustang along the Kali Gandaki River with Manang in the Marsyangdi Valley, in the Annapurna region.
At around 3,500 metres, Manang is a mountain village and a familiar stop on the Annapurna Circuit. On the approach, pine forests and apple orchards give way to an open valley, rocky slopes and snow-covered peaks. Annapurna III, Gangapurna and its glacial lake shape the landscape, while traditional stone houses and nearby Braga Monastery offer insight into local Buddhist culture.
Lower Mustang lies in the Kali Gandaki Valley, between the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Further north, the landscape becomes increasingly exposed and arid. Marpha’s apple orchards and Kagbeni’s old lanes reveal more of everyday mountain life.
Together, these valleys bring contrasting landscapes and local culture into one journey.
