Himalayan Odyssey 2026
Leh → Lamayuru | Part 2

And finally… Lamayuru.

After a beautiful day riding out from Leh, the landscape slowly began to change. The mountains became more rugged, the colours more dramatic, and then came our first glimpse of the famous Moonland of Lamayuru.

There’s something special about riding into this place. Ancient mountains, strange lunar formations and Lamayuru Monastery sitting above the village — it feels completely different from anywhere else in Ladakh.

We rolled into Lamayuru, parked the bikes and took some time to simply enjoy where the road had brought us.

These are the moments we ride for. Not just reaching another destination, but experiencing everything that happens on the way there.

Another day complete on Himalayan Odyssey 2026.

Next, we ride deeper into the mountains.

Ride Beyond the Ordinary.

Some places aren’t just viewpoints—they’re moments you’ll remember long after the ride is over.

Perched above the windswept town of Jomsom, the Jomsom View Tower offers one of the finest panoramic vistas in the Mustang region. From here, the mighty peaks of Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri, and Tukuche dominate the skyline, while the ancient Kali Gandaki Valley unfolds beneath your wheels.

For riders, this is more than a photo stop. It’s a chance to switch off the engine, breathe the crisp mountain air, and appreciate just how extraordinary the journey through the Himalayas truly is.

On our Nepal Himalayan Motorcycle Expedition, we don’t rush through places like this—we take the time to experience them.

Because the best memories aren’t measured in kilometres. They’re measured in moments.
