Please join us this Thursday, October 1, from 4 to 7 pm for our 15th Anniversary Community Day.

Come by, bring a friend, have some birthday cake, explore the Museum, enjoy the music, create your own Mini-museum and help us celebrate 15 wonderful years in Blowing Rock.

This milestone belongs to our whole community. So many people have been part of BRAHM’s story, and we cannot think of a better way to celebrate than by filling the Museum with friends, neighbors, members, visitors, and a lot of birthday spirit. by @brmuseum

Join Rosa Dargan-Powers to create an indigo scarf and cyanotype inspired by "Field Studies: Ways of Knowing Place in Southern Appalachia". Rosa Dargan-Powers lives in the Southern Appalachians near Boone, North Carolina. She recently retired from teaching in the Department of Art at Appalachian State University, where she taught fibers, papermaking, natural dyeing, and puppetry. When not in her studio making books and cutting paper images, you might find her hiking, foraging, kayaking, gardening, or singing.

Guests have multiple opportunities to join this fun workshop, as it will be October's Studio Saturday on Oct. 10, and the day before, on Oct. 9, BRAHM is offering a ticketed workshop for the public to sign up for! Reserve your spot today at blowingrockmuseum.org. by @brmuseum

Plan to join local artist Wes Waugh at the Middlefork Greenway this Thursday for an art-based activity that emphasizes both techniques and the importance of relaxed, creative exploration.

Drawing from thirty years as a counselor and watercolor artist, Wes highlights that
creativity at any age or skill level fosters well-being and peace in a changing world.
