Pregnancy is full of dualities. Joy and fear. Gratitude and disappointment. A lengthy to-do list with an immobile deadline and the internal pull to slow down.

The shifts are cosmic — in size and impact.

Getting this little bub didn’t come as easily as Vivienne sprung into our lives. My pregnancy has been immensely different than it was when carrying her, too. It’s wild to me how quickly this time has flown by. It’s a reminder to sit in the present — a lesson my first *baby* gives me daily.

So thankful to my talented friend @jenn_river of @houseof.river for seeing the beautiful sides of womanhood and encouraging me to see my own magic before the moment slipped away. (Worth the biting cold of the Pacific Ocean on my tootsies!) by @broad_world

✨FORTY✨

I tried to find a pic per year to highlight what an amazing decade my thirties were. But even being super selective there’s no way I could whittle these past ten years down.

So instead, here’s pics from our cozy, quiet celebrations this weekend. (Very unlike me, I know… but I’ll do it up next year when I’m not growing a human.)

30-40 cracked me wide open. I was confronted with myself and what I actually wanted in this life. It was full of trying new things, dancing and creating, connecting with amazing people, falling in love over and over again, taking some tumbles, leaning into my own intuition, becoming a mom, and the hardest but best lesson — letting go to allow space for flow. (Admittedly still a work in progress for this recovering control freak of a Capricorn.)

Going through the pics it was clear to me how lucky I am for the people in my life. The family, friends, coworkers, clients, and collaborators who kept popping up in memories of the best, most evolutionary times. The ones dancing, travelling, and crying with me. The ones laughing our asses off or sharing too much at 2am. Those sitting on the dock, boating, skiing, hiking, plunging, or otherwise getting me outside. The people who helped create campaigns and passion projects, or events with massive impact. The ones who challenged my beliefs and made me look a little deeper. And, the many, many glasses raised and songs sung a little too loudly.

I am one lucky, grateful girl for this life full of people to celebrate wins with, and help one another through the losses.

My thirties are going to be tough to beat. But, buckle up — we’re about to try! ❤️ taken in Adonia Tea House by @broad_world
