It’s a new pen day, and this one comes with a fun challenge: finding an ink that looks the most like tomato soup. 😅

Meet the newest addition to my collection — the Montblanc Great Characters Andy Warhol. ♥️

I’d love to ink it with a perfect tomato‑soup shade, but I’m still torn. Which one would you choose? Or should I take the more logical route and go for a matching blue ink instead?

It’s time for two more black Montblancs from my collection: the Writers Edition Homer and the Brothers Grimm. Both are inked with green‑leaning shades today, which suits them surprisingly well.

The Brothers Grimm originally came with a standard medium nib, and for some reason I never reached for it. It just didn’t click. So I asked @landsiedel_fine_writing for an architect grind — and that changed everything. Since then it’s been inked nonstop and always part of my rotation. I guess it just needed that little extra. ♥️

When I inked this @montblanc for the first time, I played it safe with a grey ink. It looked good, it wrote beautifully, but after a few lines I knew this pen deserved something more.

And yes… I already own more than enough ink. But these three? I bought them with this pen in mind.

For someone who used to say “black pens aren’t for me,” I’ve collected far too many over the past few years — and honestly, several of them have become absolute favorites.

At the top of that list: the Agatha Christie and the Victor Hugo. Two brilliant writers, two stunning designs. The Agatha Christie is a true classic, while the Victor Hugo stands out with its exceptional attention to detail.

They’re almost always inked with the same pairing: Writer’s Blood for the Agatha Christie, and Red Roses for the Victor Hugo.

When the story about the new available @tonoandlims inks from @pennini_writeinstyle appeared on my feed, I didn’t hesitate for a second — I ordered some of them immediately, (although it was hard to pick just a few).

And now that they’re here… just look at them. Aren’t they absolutely gorgeous. Now that I’ve swatched them, I can’t wait to pick out a few pens and ink them up with these gorgeous new colors.

Of course I couldn’t wait to ink my newest addition, and I had already chosen the ink long before the pen even arrived. 🙈

After trying my dear friend’s Style of Zug 149 at the Dutch Pen Show, I knew I had to fill mine with Pilot Iroshizuku Shin‑Kai as well — and I have to say, it’s perfect. 💙

Happy Monday!

These two pens are almost always inked with some high sheening inks and this time I picked two of my @octopusfluids inks: Cerberus and Dragon.

I love the combination of the looks of these pens and the sheening of the inks.

Time for some of my favorite Omas fountain pens 🖋️

On the left we have my special Franken-Omas and on the right my Omas Fusion prototype. They’re both equipped with a stellar titanium nib, which gives the nibs just the right amount of bounce and character. 🖤
