When the story about the new available @tonoandlims inks from @pennini_writeinstyle appeared on my feed, I didn’t hesitate for a second — I ordered some of them immediately, (although it was hard to pick just a few).

And now that they’re here… just look at them. Aren’t they absolutely gorgeous. Now that I’ve swatched them, I can’t wait to pick out a few pens and ink them up with these gorgeous new colors.

✨ Dutch Pen Show - my ink haul ✨

There’s no such thing as too many inks, is there? Well, for me there isn’t. And so it was a logical thing to get as many lovely additions to my collection as my heart desired.

Luckily, we were able to get some Tono & Lims ink mixing slots and voila, you can see the results on photo 6. Not only did we come up with gorgeous mixes, we also enjoyed spending time with the ink mixing team who are most fun to work with.

✨ Shanghai Stationary - Mudan ✨

I love this ink. It might appear a bit more red on some papers and a bit more pink on others but for my custom Leo it is just perfect.

✨✨ Dutch Pen Show – The Aftermath ✨

Unpacking my pen show haul has begun and I admit, it will take a while to capture everything, swatch the inks, and show all the pens, grinds, and accessories that followed me home.

My absolute highlight, however, is my second Harmonic nib from @stringsandpedals and @opuscineris. This time, I commissioned a nib for a Montblanc 149 and chose an Architect grind. To match the trim and Montblanc’s iconic two-tone nibs, it was made as a bi-color nib—and I can tell you, it is phenomenal. Soft, wet, expressive, and not overly sharp. I absolutely love it.

I was also delighted to add two new pen trays from @toyookacraft and @pennini_writeinstyle, as well as new pens from two of my favorite makers: @scribo_feelthewriting and @drewnem_pisane.

As for inks, nothing beats the joy of creating a custom color with the @tonoandlims team. A group of friends and I enjoyed several mixing sessions over the weekend, and I’ll share the results in a separate post soon. 💕

Now back to swatching, cleaning, photographing, and trying to remember where I put everything.

✨ There is magic in the people who knew you were great before you figured it out ✨

An amazing weekend at the Dutch Pen Show 2026 has already come and gone, and honestly, it feels like it passed in the blink of an eye.

I had a wonderful time catching up with old friends, meeting new ones, and spending three days surrounded by people who understand why a pen, an ink, or a perfectly tuned nib can make your day. The only downside of pen shows is that there never seems to be enough time to talk to everyone you would like to.

It will take me a few days to sort through my haul of pens, custom inks, nib grinds, and various treasures, but I’ll share them all in due course. For now, I simply want to say thank you - for your kindness, your companionship, and all the conversations that made this weekend so special.

Wishing everyone safe travels home and hoping our paths cross again soon. 💙

✨for the love of celluloid ✨

My celluloid collection has grown tremendously over the last eight years and I never get tired of trying to find additions to my collection that stand out.
These are some of my favorites from Leonardo and also from Goldfink (Tom Westerich), the three in the middle are customs. I even share one custom pen with my lovely @broadandzoom as this Mediterranean celluloid MZG is one of our friendship pens 💙

✨ To heal a wound, you need to stop touching it ✨

It is #newpenday at casa de Bluetastic and I am very enthusiastic about it. I commissioned one of the new style models from Kamila and Marcin @drewnem_pisane at the London Pen Show. The style of the swirly facets - if we wanna call them that - is particularly well suited to show the depth of the ebonite blank. Isn’t she beautiful. Lots of ink choices for this one, but since it turns out to be a #friendship pen with @broadandzoom, why don’t we use our custom Tono & Lims friendship ink once more.

Needless to say: @drewnem_pisane now I want this model with an Opal Oparex blank 🤩🤩🤩
