Every parent wants to give their kids a better life, but are we giving them too much?

There’s a difference between giving your children opportunities and giving them everything they want.

Hard work, discipline, and responsibility aren’t just lessons about money. They’re lessons about life.

The greatest gift you can give your kids isn’t everything they ask for. It’s teaching them the value of earning it.

Money isn’t the end goal—it’s a tool.

For me, the value of building wealth comes from the choices it creates: more freedom, more experiences, and more opportunities to make memories with the people you love.

The work takes patience. But when you’re willing to grind now and build something that creates recurring revenue for years to come, those choices can become your reality.

Money creates options. What you do with those options is what matters. #BuildingWealth #FinancialFreedom #WealthMindset #MoneyMindset #FinancialSuccess by @brobinspired

Best advice: Use your platform for positive influence and giving back by @brobinspired

In his speech, Laird Veatch reflects on a mentor who encouraged him to consider what God had prepared him for and what gifts he had been given.

As he looked back across his life, Laird began to see how much change he had experienced—and how those chapters had shaped him. His time at Kansas State with Bill Snyder was one part of that story.

Sometimes the right questions help us recognize the meaning in experiences we might otherwise see as separate moments. For Laird, reflecting on his past helped him better understand his gifts and the path ahead.

What experiences have shaped your sense of purpose? by @brobinspired

Competition isn’t always about trying to beat the person across from you. The best kind of competition is the one that pushes you to become better than you were yesterday.

For a quarterback, that means working to put the best product on the field every time they play. For a team, it means showing up with something to prove, regardless of who the opponent is or where they stand.

When your standard depends on the other side, the result will always have the power to disappoint you. But when the focus is on preparation, effort, and playing the best you can, you have a standard you can carry into every game.

Compete every day. Bring your best. Let the scoreboard take care of itself. by @brobinspired

Building strong relationships with the people you serve takes intentional effort. That might sound simple, but when an organization has many people paying attention and thinking about its work, communication can’t be an afterthought.

It takes dedicated people on the team who are focused on constituents: how we connect, how we communicate, and whether those conversations are thoughtful, candid, open, and transparent. It also takes a willingness to make time, reach out, and listen.

Trust doesn’t come from one announcement or one conversation. It grows through consistent communication and real effort over time.

What does good communication from the organizations serving your community look like to you? by @brobinspired

Words mean little without action to back them up. Pay attention to what people do, not just what they promise. Consistency, effort, and follow-through will tell you everything you need to know.

Actions will always speak louder than words.

A person’s faith can shape the way they live long before they find the words to explain it.

Mike Matheny remembers people noticing that he did things differently and asking him why. At first, he wasn’t ready to answer honestly. He would give an easy explanation, even though the deeper truth was that he had committed to following Jesus and was trying to walk in obedience.

Looking back, Mike says he had been afraid to speak openly about his faith. It took strong men in his life to challenge him and remind him that when someone asks about the hope he has, he should be ready to give an account for it.

His point wasn’t to force a conversation or have all the answers. It was simply to be honest about what had changed him and point people to the cross. by @brobinspired

The question “Why am I doing this?” can change the way we approach almost everything.

For Mike Matheny, two words help bring that question into focus: urgency and impact. Whether he’s investing in a person, helping build a company, developing a leader, or talking about faith, he asks whether the moment in front of him could make a difference.

That kind of purpose takes honesty. It means recognizing how easily our own agendas can get in the way, then choosing to show up with the right heart and invest in people.

Life is fragile. None of us is guaranteed tomorrow. That makes the way we spend our time, and the way we treat the people around us, matter all the more.
