Never take it to an extreme and financially abandon your kids. My father did that to me and my sister. We have built lives for ourselves and do not struggle anymore. However I resent the man with my entire being for putting us through that hell when were just kids.

Splitting costs with those that have no experience to be well paid individuals is a waste of time. Give them milestones and as they accomplish these you reward them

I teach my kids to write out how much bills are and add up how much money I earn to pay those bills and how to have savings and how to use your credit, I taught my 5 kids how credit works and they all have great credit.
