Can't believe it, but the Judgement of Wimbledon is back for a fifth year in just over a month.

It’s September which always means back-to-school… and wine school is no different!

Our Level 3 intensive students kicked things off with a solid six hours of classroom time yesterday (and plenty of tasting) and Level 2 is settling into a Wednesday evening routine.

If you’re interested in understanding any of these courses in future (or your staff!) then do drop us a line, we’re taking interest for 2027.

Back in London after a very memorable trip to Bordeaux for the 40th edition of the Marathon du Médoc!

Huge thanks to Max @maxsichel and Charlie Sichel for being so generous and being amazing hosts.

My 13th (and probably last) full marathon (not counting Marathon des Sables.)

Crazy, crazy experience. Weather was kind early in but then the sun came out and it was roasting hot, so the final 10k was very tough. Avoided the oysters…! but tried pretty everything else … plenty of wine enjoyed along the way.

I can’t recommend it highly enough. Huge congrats to Max Sichel for his first marathon and thank you again to @chateauangludet for allowing me to enjoy this incredible experience running in their team.

Burgundy night is back - Tuesday 22nd September @sussex_resto in Soho.

We're going deep on the really really good stuff - Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Think Chablis 'Vaudesir' Grand Cru, Pommard, Nuits-St Georges 1er Cru from producers like @benjaminlerouxwines, @hechtbannier and @domainefourreychablis.

You don't always have to travel far to get up close and personal with winemaking!

Summer holidays are coming to an end, but there's plenty you can explore in London.

Went for a nice tasting at @londoncru last weekend - here's their riddling rack... our WSET students will be familiar!

There's a handful of urban wineries operating in London at the moment, most offer visits if you'd like to immerse yourself for a couple of hours.

Just back from travels and using the opportunity to read up on 'Les Grand Vins de France.'
